The Royal George Staithes

Lovely overnight stay in beautiful Staithes. Highly recommend this place to stay, we really enjoyed it. Lovely en suite double, very clean and modern. Breakfast was very good the next morning. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, good was exceptional and the best home made chips 🍟

Lovely olde worked pub lots of character and lovely and clean. Staff very friendly . Breakfast was very good and good quality.

We popped in a couple of times for both food & drinks during our 5 day stay in Staithes.. We've been coming here for a few years now so know that we're going to be served good food in a good pub. If you like to watch sport they do cater for this , especially in the old fashioned 'tap room' on the right hand side as you walk in. If the sun is shining its a great 'sun trap' to sit out on the front for a bit of 'people watching', if you're lucky enough to get a seat.

lovely pub, great food, service ok. I was just a guest in the pub. I booked a table by phone, for today. Unfortunately when I arrived it turned out that my reservation was not there, there was not even a similar name in the reservations. It ruined my evening. I was sad because no one even tried to do anything to fix it.

Very comfortable stay. A lovely pub in a quaint village. Will definitely stay there again.

The food is superb - top class. This was our first trip to Staithes and we called in here on our first night for a bite to eat. The portions are huge and the food is top quality. I highly recommend the fish n chips with homemade tartare sauce. The staff are friendly and very pleasant.

The location is stunning but you have park ypur car at the top of a very steep hill and walk up and down

Pretty average pub, not a great atmosphere. We thought we had booked an en-suite, but no, we had to cross the hall to our bathroom and had the smallest wardrobe in the world so avoid Room 2. The service wasn’t great, it seemed as though they were going through the motions really. Although I think the locals were received a little better than us so maybe they are just sick of tourists 🫣 Food was ok, although my husband loved his fish and chips. Staithes is pretty, but I wish we had just stopped for an hour or so rather than staying overnight. Won’t be back.
