Welcome to Valley View- a luxurious 6 bedroom, 6 bathroom log home centrally located between Seven Springs Mountain Resort and Hidden Valley Resort. With an abundance of outdoor activities like golfing, skiing & snowboarding, swimming, hiking, and biking (just to name a few); plus festivals, state parks, sightseeing, spas, & restaurants and bars, there is entertainment for everyone in the Laurel Highlands. Exterior security cameras are in use. 4WD vehicles recommended in winter.The Property:As you walk through the front door of this immaculate log home, you'll be greeted by the grandeur of it's beauty. Pass through the entryway into the open concept floor plan, where guests can gather and spend time together while in the kitchen, dining area, or living area.The large kitchen features beautiful granite countertops, new stainless steel appliances, and a sitting area that overlooks the valley. The dining area features a huge table that allows seating for 14 people. The living area offers two couches and a reclining chair where guests can enjoy the warmth of the floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace or the entertainment of the large screen TV.Two bedrooms are located on the main level of this house. Bedroom 1 is located just off the kitchen. It features a queen size bed, a tv, plenty of clothing storage space, and a private attached bathroom. Bedroom 2 is located just off the living area and features two twin size beds. A nearby full bathroom is available for use.Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 3 is at the top of the steps. It has two sets of bunk beds (4 twin size beds) and a loft where kids can lounge on the bean bags. A nearby full bathroom is also available. Bedroom 4 is at the end of the hallway on the left. It has a king size bed and a private attached full bathroom. Bedroom 5 also has a king size bed and a private attached full bathroom.On the lower level of the house, guests will find a game area with a pool table, a foosball table, and a log table for games. There is also a living room with large screen TV, wrap around couch with built-in reclining chairs, and a nearby full bathroom. The laundry room is located on this level. Bedroom 6 is also located on the lower level of the house. It features one queen size bed, one full size bed, and a twin size bed.Guest Access:Guests will have access to the entire house. Guests do not have access to the detached garage and they are not permitted to use the outdoor fire pit.Guests do not have access to resort swimming pools. Flat screen TV with streaming device.The Loft is a full-sized bedroom with a queen bed and full bath overlooking the living area, as well as a TV with streaming device.On the lower level you’ll find another bedroom with a queen bed, overhead fan, TV with streaming device and easy access to the full bath across the hall.A personal favorite is The Stone Room offering beautiful stone walls that bring the outdoors inside, a King bed, dedicated workspace, reading nook, en suite half bath, wood stove, and a library of classics and contemporary literature where you can curl up and spend quiet time reading. (This room is also nice for parents with small children as the two reading chairs fully recline and together form a twin bed.)There is a full sized pull out sofa bed as well as a twin bed with trundle in the Snow Room to accommodate larger groups. A chest of drawers and double closet make for plenty of storage in this room.The Homestead offers all new linens, a new front load washer and dryer, steamer. Iron, ironing board, and drying rack on the lower level for your convenience.Why is 114 Imperial Drive called The Homestead?The house was built in the early 1970’s by George and Helen Parke who owned the original land that Hidden Valley was built on. They lived in this house year-round. The Loft was the former master bedroom, and the house was heated with the same Franklin Stove that is still in the dining room. The deck and current Master bedroom were added on much later.As Hidden Valley began to grow, George was the major real estate agent, selling his land to early homeowners. The Parkes sold 114 Imperial and built a home at the top of what is now Imperial ski slope.
