As all reviewers have noted, this is a fabulous hotel in the Cotswolds. The location, the decor, the attention to detail and quality is top notch. The food and cocktails are stellar. Such a fabulous restaurant. We were truly cared for by everyone. (Every SINGLE person. A to Z. Brand champions at every position.). We will be back. You have set the bar for our two week tour about England and Wales. Big love!

A night away to relax and recharge...and we did. Lovely welcome, cosy room, excellent dinner and breakfast. They do have their own parking but we didn't need it as we parked in the square, but it was a bit mad finding a space so you might want to organise parking with the hotel before arrival. Enjoyed the cocktails. All staff were friendly and doing an excellent job.

I cannot say enough good things about The Old Stocks Inn. We were lucky in that they were able to accommodate a last-minute room reservation due to another hotel in the area (The Porch House) closing due to the Horse Fair in the area. The Inn is just off of the main market square right in the middle of town. Parking is provided and very easy to find (either in the square or just off to the side). We were greeted very warmly and checked in with ease. The room we had was extremely well appointed. The room had exposed beams and a plaster ceiling with a view over the semi-enclosed courtyard. Multiple plugs were available to handle the various pieces of technology that we travel with, and there was ample room to hang clothes and store luggage. The king bed felt wonderful, and the bathroom, including the large claw tub, was huge. The towels provided were very soft, and there was plenty of hot water. We appreciated the small refrigerator in the room as well as the small writing desk. Tea and coffee were provided in the room. Tip-of-the-hat to Bogdan and Richard being extremely accommodating and assisting us during a very trying portion of our vacation. We will be coming back!

Had a lovely stay here. This is a small hotel with bags of character, a lovely old building that has been lovingly refurbished. The staff are all very welcoming and the hotel appears to be very well run. Both the breakfast and dinner were excellent, good quality and freshly prepared. You can hear other people in the hotel but nothing you can do about that in an old building. There is a small car park; the driveway into it is in desperate need of resurfacing.

We started our Christmas in England at old stocks inn and what a great introduction to England and the Cotswolds. Everyone and everything was perfect - drinks at the bar, breakfast, and accommodations were top notch! We had a group of 9 (our six children and our future son in law) and I never felt like we overwhelmed the staff even though we are loud and extra. Justine was wonderful at breakfast and gave us great travel advice!

We were a party of 6 staying one night on a pre Xmas get together, having had lunch at Daylesford farm on the way down we were pleasantly surprised with our lovely little boutique hotel we choose. We decided to have dinner in the hotel on the evening and we are all glad we did, congratulations to the chef you certainly delivered, all lovely fresh produce and the presentation was excellent . We have all said we will be back in the summer and can’t wait to enjoy a bottle of Rose in your courtyard garden. Well done to all your staff

Our 3rd or 4th time vising and overall a really lovely. time. We love the Old Stocks inn as it's well run, great food and a really fantastic location for walking and enjoying the town and surrounding areas. Richard, the manager is always a pleasure. to. deal with and always on hand to. oversee and check. everything is ok. Breakfast absolutely amazing and super. helpful staff on hand. Evenings we chilled in the cosy lounge by the fire , playing scrabble with our. boys and before we left, as. it was raiing we cancelled our planned walk and instead chilled in the new cocktail / coffee lounge for an hour before we left. One morning we did hear the cleaners quite loudly outside our room but politely asked them to pls keep it down and they did so immediately. I think they assumed our room. was empty. Our. radiator in the bathroom was also slow to work and it turns out simply needed bleeding. I think any issues that arise, you can always flag to Richard and he is happy to deal with. Great value for money and the perfect location to enjoy the cotswolds.

I sent the below review to the Hotel on8th November, to give them a chance to respond before posting. However they didn't not reply or acknowledge my email! Review regarding our stay at The Old Stocks Inn on 6th-7th November, staying in Room 4, which as you know is an “Amazing great room” and the top end in cost. This was a 1 night stay for my wife an I, away from our children, to celebrate my birthday. Firstly the positive. • Very friendly staff the evening we checked in. • Nice looking room. • Good cocktails and very good food in the restaurant. Unfortunately, there are a few negatives (one in particular) that had a huge impact on our stay: • Room was freezing in the middle of the night, when the heating was turned off (we had had to turn on our radiator when we arrived). • All enamel worn off the bath, so it is very uncomfortable. • The pillows on the bed were up there with the worst pillows I have come across, like sleeping on rocks! • Towel rail in the bathroom was broken, so our towels were wet in the morning. • The biggest problem by far was the noise. There is obviously no insulation AT ALL in the ceiling/floor of the room above, and unbelievably creaky floorboards. The people staying in the room above got back from an evening out just before midnight (fine)…they then chatted and walked around the room, whilst also watching TV, until about 1.30am. Then one went to bed and the other stayed up, walking around the room until after 3am. At 5.30am one of them got up to go to the toilet. I know all this because every movement woke my wife and I up or kept us awake. I know the timings as heard the bells on the church at 12,1,2,4,5 and 6 (because I was awake)!. Then at 6ish, the boiler/hot water tank above our room started. As such, my wife and I both had, in effect, no sleep at all, from our one night away without children. • To cap it off, when I explained this to the receptionist on checking out, her reply was “well, next time you come and stay, I suggest you ask not to be put in room 4!!!” I also said the noise had kept us awake as the couple above had (without making any excessive noise, but just been up and walking around) until 4am, she replied “that’s the problem sometimes with noisy guests”! When we arrived at the hotel we thought what a beautiful boutique Cotswold hotel, and so were so disappointed that it nearly was, but proved to be a very uncomfortable and sleepless stay.
