Holiday Inn Express & Suites Swift Current

I reached the hotel at 3,30 A.M after driving from Regina. There was no one at the reception. I had to wait for 10 minutes. Then, I called the number and someone came from inside.

Great hotel, have stayed many trips through Hwy 1.

We checked into the hotel to stay 2 nights as we have family that live in Swift Current to visit. The hotel was booked with sports teams which is fine. The sports teams took over the WHOLE breakfast room for the ENTIRE day and evening!!! You couldn't sit in there to eat breakfast and then they ordered in SO many pizzas for their supper. The whole lobby reeked of pizza and teenagers! Very gross. We took our kids to swim in the pool. There were 20 kids in the pool at any given time and not one parent in the pool room area to watch their kids. The parents were all standing out in the lobby watching their kids swim thru the window! There were 2 other families that brought their little kids to swim. The team boys were SCREAMING and jumping into the pool that the other 2 families finally had to leave and take their littles out with them. I spoke to the front desk and the clerk said he would talk to someone. A half later no one came and then the pool guy came to check the chemicals so I also spoke to him but no one came and nothing was said. I went back to the front desk and spoke to the clerk again but STILL nothing was said or done. I will never stay at this hotel again! I understand that teams need somewhere to stay but obviously the hotel needs to lay down a few common courtesy rules regarding the breakfast room and I would think it would be a REALLY good idea to have at least one parent in the pool room to be watching kids swimming! Kids were pushing each other into the pool. What would have happened if one of those kids got hurt and there wasn't one parent in that room? Very disappointing but I know better next time we go to visit family

My husband and I stayed at Holiday Inn express Swift Current for 3 nights in late November. We travel a lot in the U. S. for business and we usually stay at Hampton hotel. Since we couldn’t find a Hampton in Swift Current so we chose Holiday Inn Express in Swift Current, which turned out to be the worst hotel experience we have ever had in a long time. First night we arrived, I went in the gym and found out both of the treadmills are not working ( they aren’t even plugged in due to the wall outlets don’t match the plugs on the treadmills ). So I used the elliptical. The gym is very small compared to other holiday inn I have stayed in. There was another person came in during my workout and he wanted to use the treadmill. I told him they are not working. He tried to make them work then finally gave up and left the gym. After my workout I went to front desk and told the staff about the issue. He said he would take a look. Later that night he called my husband’s phone and said they couldn’t fix the treadmills. They would take off $30 on our first night bill. So the next two days, I checked the treadmills, still didn’t work, and there were other guests came in and left in disappointment. And by the way, the day we checked out , they didn’t take off the $30 like they promised. Second, the hotel was under construction when we were there. First floor and second floor’s rooms are not available, breakfast took place in a small meeting room, food was mediocre. It was noisy during the day when I was in my room. Maybe it’s because of the construction work. However, none of these ( broken treadmills or construction) were mentioned on their website or app. If we knew there is no treadmills available and construction going on, we wouldn’t have booked this hotel. When we left , we were charged $607 for 3 nights. For this price we would expect better quality of service.

Newly renovated rooms, breakfast was good. The only thing I don’t like is the wood floors which you can hear others walking around - get the top floor and it’s not a problem. Located on north end can walk to the casino. Restaurants are near by as well.

King Size suite was spacious with jacuzzi tub but jacuzzi did not work. Entire hotel was under renovation and staff was not very helpful and loudly talking in Filipino throughout the lobby. Treadmills didn't have proper plug ins and when I asked I was told I didn't know how to work them. Came away with the feeling that there are never ending reservations throughout.
