Riad Mokhtar

Good location, nice room with beautiful Moroccan accents. Good water pressure in the showers, a traditional courtyard with oranges trees, made it nice to hear the birds in the morning to wake up to. We had a lovely breakfast as well. The restaurant was closed when we were there so the hallways were dark and there was a lot of storage in them and the rooftop was also kind of defunct. Would have been nice to use.

We went to dinner to Riad on recommendation of our host here at Tangier. The place was excellent. Easy to find, beautiful building, amazing courtyard, where we shared a superb dinner and a great bottle of wine. Both grilled eggplant with feta, and prawns in Spanish/Tai sauce were excellent and innovative. The place is not cheap, but worth every penny.

Riad Mokhtar had more rooms than usual for a riad but was still very personal. They have a large outdoor dining area and serve dinner at night in their restaurant. Breakfast included was really good. The room was spacious with a great comfortable bed, full bathroom amenities. There is also a lift which is not common in riads in Morocco.

Our first riad in Morocco, and we were totally smitten by the trees, the birds, the gorgeous decor, the amazing breakfast. Visited with my 16-year-old son before my husband joined us in Fes. Beds were soooo comfortable, and we were very happy here. Nice location at the top of the road right next to the kasbah. Highly recommended!

A beautiful petit hotel stay with a lovely restaurant and a fantastic location to boot. Riad Mokhtar was everything the website showed. Run by a lovely couple the staff is professional and helpful. The location is perfect to lug your bags from the car parking lot nearby. Room was very comfortable for 3 of us with our 8-year old having her bed made on the couch. The restaurant on the ground floor with Italian cuisine was lovely and the food was of super quality. The breakfasts were great too. One of the nights it got super busy with voices carrying all the wya to our 2nd floor room. Though by 11 it was quiet. They have a nice though small bar with a decent selection of drinks. We couldn’t really enjoy the beautiful courtyard as it was chilly in the mornings and evenings.

Lovely riad at the doorsteps of the Kasbah. Arriving post midnight to a large, clean and beautiful room with a very comfortable bed was great. A delicious breakfast was served in their green and vibrant courtyard by courteous staff. Enjoyed my stay - wish I had more days.
