Room was ready in early morning, great location and easy access to Zermatt by one station from train.

A great place to stay for visiting Zermatt (if you cannot find something reasonable in Zermatt itself, which was the case for our family of 5). We had a great stay, the rooms were nice, no issues, right next to the train station. The breakfast was good. Dinners were good too.

Driving from Basel Airport to Gruyeres and then we travelled to Tasch for stay. Roads were little tough being a mountain terrain. Onsite parking was available and being the guest it was provided free. Train station was just opposite the hotel and it made it easy to take trains to Zermatt and Gornergrat. Hotel room was good, comfortable and large. Views from room windows were gorgeous of snow covered mountains. Railway track was closeby - so would hear trains now and then- we did not think that as a major disturbance. We returned to Latterbrunnen from here and has to take car in the train at one stretch. Would definitely recommend for the location.

Staff on reception were reasonably friendly. We had a double room and a single room. Double room was a decent size, but the bathroom in the single room was tiny and as the bathroom had a sloping roof it was difficult to use the shower as there was not enough space to raise the shower head. There was a strange smell in the hotel, not sure what it was! The hotel is located next to the train station which is handy when you want the train but quite noisy overnight. As it was warm weather when we stayed we had the windows open (no air conditioning) and the noise meant we didn’t sleep much at all. Restaurant was nice, serving traditional Swiss dishes and friendly staff.

We had a problem with our booking, and I want to mention Agnese specifically who went far out of her way to help us with it. Every hotel ought to have a staff member like Agnese. She took the time to understand our problem, contacted her manager for us, and went to extra trouble to make everything right. A hotel like this is where you want to stay when traveling. Agnese and Manager, we cannot thank you both enough for your grace and kindness to us weary travelers.

We chose to stay in Tasch as we were travelling back to home in France from the UK and had a car full of suitcases. If we want to visit the Matterhorn again with less luggage then we would definitely stay in Zermatt. Saying that, we chose well with this hotel, being right next to the train station was perfect for our visit with 2 dogs. The staff were very helpful on arrival and provided advice on what to do and where to go. Unfortunately the spa area has been decommissioned but we didn't see this mentioned on the website which is a shame as we needed this after a day walking the Matterhorn. We booked the Alpine Style Deluxe room with balcony which was a good size, modern and the balcony was south facing so it was lovely to sit and soak up some rays. There was plenty of storage space and the bed was comfortable with decent quality pillows and duvet. The only comments are, it would be good to have a fridge in the room to keep water and dog food, the showerhead in our room needs securing as it kept falling off with pressure of water and there was a fine line between warm and scorching water in the shower. We were happy with our room and stay.

We were there 2 days at May 2023y., The Hotel was good, room very clear ,and the staff very friendly. We came there by car, For the fact that I made the reservation directly on the hotel is website, I got free underground parking for the entire stay, which was very nice. The Breakfasts were good, you could eat well. Very close to train station about 50 meters, and from there trains to Zermatt every half hour. I recommend this Hotel everyone.

Stayed here over new years and really enjoyed the hotel. It’s super cosy with gorgeous mountain views, and the room was very clean. The reception staff were helpful and friendly so we were really happy with the service. They went above and beyond to help out with all our needs (we needed a bottle opener, power adapter, coffee) and the staff were very happy to help out. It’s the little things that make your stay so much more enjoyable!

Wir waren mit unserer Gruppe von 20 Personen im Täscherhof. Sehr entgegenkommendes und freundliches Personal. Grosszügiges und feines Abendessen zum wirklich guten Preis, Frühstück perfekt. Wir erhielten ein Upgrade für unsere Zimmer. Idealer kann man nicht übernachten - wenige Meter vom Zermatt Zug! Grosse geschützte Garage. Dieses Hotel kann nur empfohlen werden!
