Kalani

In room massage, delicious healthy food at the shop, WiFi is great at the shop - no consistent connection in the room meant a fully offgrid experience which was appreciated. Therapies offered were lovely and the space is beautiful and private. Staff was friendly, fast and courtesy. The perfect blend of being in nature with a sort of camp vibe along with amenities of luxury that made me feel spoiled and grateful.

Enjoyable time at kai #4. Extremely pleased that lily could check us in after dancing & swimming early before the rains came. Sad we could not look at old kalani resort area and understanding why now Mahalo

i am a lover of the big island and have been here many times over the years, but never stayed at Kalani. this trip i was solo and in need of rest and relaxation. everything was perfect- from check in, to my cottage, everyone is kind, and the location is DIVINE. i cried when i left, but i know i'll be back, and when i am, i'll be at kalani. a few things: if you *need* AC, this isn't the spot for you, though i was perfectly comfortable with the fan and the ocean breeze. if you *need* room service, this isn't for you- but i loved shopping at the store at the end of the road for snacks and i never went hungry! if you're scared of bugs/lizards/wild boars/random animal life, this is not for you. i absolutely loved seeing all creatures and i admit, i would have pet the boars. shhhhhhhh. i went across the street every morning around 6 and sat on a bench overlooking the ocean as the sun was rising and i felt so centered. this place brought me absolute peace. ps- do visit kehena black sand beach down the road. it's clothing optional, and not creepy in the least- and of course, you can stay clothed if that's your preference. truly a gorgeous spot.

Seeing the beautiful moon from my window with clouds creating exquisite shadows was so amazing. The staff in the store were all so friendly. The room was great. Spectacular. I came for a retreat.

Beautiful rooms with unique character and gorgeous views all around! Favorite place to stay when visiting Big Island. Aloha.

They have roaches. Their cleanliness standards are questionable to say the least. Find somewhere else to stay if you don't want your vacation to be ruined by being up all night with roaches crawling on you. They won't refund your money when decide to leave because don't want to share your room with disease carrying roaches.
