Southpark House

Just got back from our stay at Southpark House, not sure where to start but everything was superb! The rooms are beautiful, very clean, tea tray very good, bed very comfortable, excellent shower and toiletries. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful, good choice of continental too with plenty of fresh fruit. Ewan is so friendly and always ensures you are happy, we booked as visiting an old Aunt in a nursing home so we know where we will be staying in future. Thank you Ewan

5 star stay - one of the best B&B you can stay at. Super friendly and helpful easy to get into town for food. Great facilities and breakfast was lovely. Plenty of outside space. Ev charging points. Went for a walk down the lane which was quite also near cycle route.

We stayed for 2 nights - we had only booked for 1, but decided to stay for another as it was just what we wanted and needed! The hospitality was outstanding from Ewan and Donna. Rooms were lovely, and access to extra things such as an ironing board, washing machine, kitchen etc was fantastic! Breakfast was brilliant and our outlook was superb. Would definitely recommend and/or stay again!

This stay was exactly what we needed. We are not holidayers and actually only live 20 minutes away; when we discovered widespread black mould in our Annandale home, we had to find a place to stay for a couple of nights at the 11th hour. Ewan coordinated to get me a key straight away so I could come and go as needed during a busy day. The house is beautiful, top to bottom, with absolutely lovely en-suites. It was such a relief to come to a clean and comfortable space. There is a small kitchen with a fridge, freezer, microwave, and crockery available for guests, which proved very useful for storing our dietary-specific foods and leftovers. Ewan and Donna’s hospitality was above and beyond. They even offered the sunny conservatory as a place for me to work all day on Tuesday (I work from home). They were incredibly understanding and generous — even when I realized I'd made a brain-fog booking error! Ewan checked in and went so far as to research our issue and offer his consultation. I cannot recommend Southpark House highly enough and will be booking again for family and friends in the future. Anyone looking for exceptional service and a warm and inviting atmosphere in Dumfries and Galloway should look no further.

Great stay. Lovely comfortable and clean. Great breakfast. Friendly host. Would stay again. Views are pretty at breakfast. Has everything you need for a relaxing stay. We stayed for a wedding in Dumfries. Taxi was around £10 each way. Convenient.

Guest facilities are so good, it's a guest house that can feel like home from home. Everything's catered for, and Ewan brings you the warm welcome to go with his professionalism. Big lounge with a TV, sit by the woodburner in the winter, fantastic view from the conservatory over the valley and up to the hills, or see it from the outside tables on a nice evening. An open kitchen, with a guest fridge/freezer, so you can self-cater easily for a few days after Ewan's big breakfast. And closer to the SRUC Barony campus than anywhere else!
