Old Hall Country Breaks

Just returned from a stay at Old Hall Country Breaks. The hosts, Philip and Gil were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We woke up to a basket of fresh eggs by our front door, laid by their "girls". It was so nice to be able to feed their friendly animals.Gil shared his extensive knowledge of Norfolk and gave us great tips on some of the best places to visit. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We ordered an Indian and a Thai meal which were delicious. Wish we had booked for the week!

Its hard to find superlatives good enough to describe this experience. My wife & I stayed 4 nights in the East Wing, which is the oldest part of the accommodation - around 500 years old. It has been beautifully fitted out to a 5 star standard, and has absolutely everything you need for a self catering holiday. The hosts, Gil & Phillip, are consummate professionals and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we wanted. They really made our stay one of the most memorable we've had.. The breakfast hamper was very generous with high quality local produce and served us for 3 mornings. While we could have easily cooked our evening meals using the kitchen facilities in the apartment, we decided to spoil ourselves and had the room service meals delivered to our room each night. The Thai and Indian meals were the standouts. We also decided to try their special afternoon tea. This was amazing and a must do!!! Make sure your hungry when you start and you certainly wont need dinner afterwards. We can thoroughly recommend this amazing accommodation

I booked a trip to Old Hall Country Breaks as a surprise for my wife to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We were both made to feel very special throughout our entire stay. The owners, Gil and Philip, would stop at nothing to make sure we had everything we needed. The attention to detail and personal touches were obvious straight away. The accommodations are well equipped, beautifully styled and spotlessly clean. The breakfast hampers are a great addition with generous portions and a superb selection of carefully chosen produce. We also made use of the offered take away meals which were delicious, lovingly prepared and beautifully presented. The animals at Old Hall were also a welcome sight to us. They are extremely well cared for and you are encouraged to interact with them by the animal food basket left in your room. We loved that! The Old Hall driver was also very friendly and so knowledgeable about the area. A wonderful stay in comfortable, luxury surroundings where you are made to feel at home the minute you pass through the gates.

Just returned from an amazing weekend at this beautiful place. We stayed in the coach house for 3 nights, for my partners 60th birthday. Gil was great to contact and made it easy to organise a bespoke birthday cake, hot stone massages, a deluxe hamper as well as a Thai meal for one of the nights. He offered suggestions on places to visit and a proposed itinerary to use which was informative. On arrival we were given a warm welcome by Gil, with a glass of bubbly. We were shown around the property and we were really impressed with beautiful gardens and all the special little areas to enjoy. There has been so much thought that has went into to making this a really special place to stay. We also met Philip whom introduced us to the pet family of chickens and enlightened us about the Pygmy goats the 2 donkeys and the horse. There was a small baskets of treats left the coach house to feed to the animals which encouraged us to go and meet them. The massages were amazing and given in the coach house. Our Thai meal was delivered by a lovely lady who had just made the food and came in ceramic dishes all beautifully presented. It really felt like it was made with love. There is certainly nothing ordinary about Old Hall Country Breaks. The luxury hamper and had so many deluxe items inside. We ended up being a lot home with us as we didn’t get through a lot of it. The guys go above and beyond to make your stay special from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend a stay here. We have just returned from our first trip to Old Hall Country Breaks, they more than deserves their 5 star rating. From the warmest welcome from Gil to the loveliest hug to say goodbye every part of our break was superb. The accommodation is beautiful, every thought has gone into the decor, furnishings and quality of bedding. Every offering is available to you, the Thai offering is outstanding and delivered in style, the breakfast hamper contains the finest ingredients sourced locally. The animals are wonderful and their beautiful collection of chickens also have a 5 star lifestyle. A huge thank you to Gil and Phillip you truly do think of every thing to make your guests stay memorable, your warm, friendly and welcoming manner is the icing on a beautiful cake. We have stayed a number of times but this was our first December stay. All seasons at Old Hall are fabulous however Christmas is extra special with wonderfully decorated trees and cottages, hot spiced drinks on arrival, Christmas themed afternoon tea in the Old Hall and lots of surprises and goodies along the way. It put us completely in the Christmas spirit. Cannot recommend highly enough.
