Treschers Schwarzwald Hotel

Treschers is a lovely lakeside holiday hotel. We stayed for five nights and enjoyed our time here. The lake view room is large and very comfortable with a peaceful ambience. There is a good efficient bathroom too. The breakfast buffet is very tasty with good coffee and choice of food. We did not use the restaurant in the evening as it only has a four course menu. We preferred to eat more lightly at the nice local restaurants mentioned by the hotel’s website. They are very close to the hotel and good. There is a sun deck and pool and we enjoyed perfect sunny weather for four days. Everyone working in the hotel are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is quite expensive. However, it is good value with the excellent location, service and accommodation.

We have just had a 5 night stay at this hotel having driven from the UK. The journey was worth it. We had a Superior double with a balcony and the room was absolutely gorgeous. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and the view was spectacular. The Spa is very well appointed, sauna, steam etc and indoor and outdoor pools with plenty of space for relaxing. We ate in the restaurant and the food was also really good and well priced - our bill increased by the good selection of local wines available but we can live with that! The feel of the hotel is relaxed and friendly and quietly, rather than ostentatiously, luxurious. All the staff we encountered were exceptional and made our stay really memorable.

Mixed experience - the Location is lovely, the view of the room towards the lake as well. The main receptionist was not even greeting me on my arrival - the younger one was way nicer. The room in the 3rd floor was very hot and without AC, when asking for a fan at the reception I did not get one. At dinner, where at first I had to justify that I had the right to be seated (as I had booked the expensive add-on offer which was the 3-course dinner) I complained again about the hot room. I think I was attended by the owner because this time I got the fan to my room immediately. The dinner (fish) was bland on the first night with a rude and inattentive server. I contemplated to skip the dinner on the second night, although I had paid for it. Finally I went there and this time it was much better - the food (lamb racks) was tasty and the server much better than the previous one. It is a pity that not all personnel seems to welcome guests and are friendly. As a owner I would look into this as there have been some other complaints as well.

We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the view of the lake and town. Our room was in the historical wing of the hotel and was spacious, modern and very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a big shower. We loved the breakfast with the wide variety of foods - fresh fruit, rolls, meats, cheeses, yogurt, granola, eggs, teas and juice. Walk outside the hotel and you are in the middle of shopping and dining area. The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk to the train station. The staff was welcoming and we loved staying here. My only suggestion is to heat the pool water a little more. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel and its gorgeous location

We stayed for two nights for our anniversary and loved every minute. Perfect views and location on the lake. Our lake view room was renovated and spacious. The sauna and pool area was a huge surprise, the online reviews and photos don’t do justice. It’s huge and modern, a perfect way to relax. The infinity pool that looks over the lake is wonderful with good jets as well. We booked the half board and loved the dinner foods, very authentic German and a nice surprise each evening. Our favorite part is that we were the only Americans there, it was a truly authentic German excursion.

This is a lovely hotel in the picturesque town of Titisee. The hotel is adjacent to, and overlooks, Lake Titisee. The hotel is postcard pretty, and the rooms were nice and clean. We had three rooms, and the hotel upgraded two of the rooms so that all of us would be next to each other, which was a nice touch. The location is fabulous. Walk out the door and you're in the heart of old Titisee. This is mostly tourist shops and restaurants, but there is also an apotheke (pharmacy), which is helpful if you need to convert your American CDC vaccination card to an EU digital vaccine cert. (Also, make sure to download the Luca app on your smartphone before travelling to the Black Forest.) Our room plan included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast buffets were great, and one of the set dinners was in the top 10 meals that I've ever had. Dinner was a buffet one evening, and that was also extravagant. This is more of a German hotel for Germans, and I mean that in a good way. Although the key hotel staff speak English, and can provide English menus as well, a majority of guests seem to be German. Accordingly, I think that this hotel provides a more authentically German experience than some other Black Forest resorts might. One other nice touch: they hotel gave me a present on my birthday. I'd normally balance the superlatives with a few downsides, but there weren't really many. The pool could have been a little warmer. I wished that it was snowing, not raining, when we were there, but that's obviously not the hotel's fault. All in all, this was a fabulous place to stay, and I plan to come back again both in the winter and in other seasons.
