Hotel Milano

This hotel was lovely and ideally situated right next to the bus stop and ferry port. There were only 5/6 restaurants to choose from in resort all were lovely, it is very quiet here you can walk along the lake to Toscolano which is quiet too, market day was pretty good (think it was Thursday) great as a base for exploring other towns on the lake though. Breakfast was very nice and if you asked you could have boiled eggs aswell as scrambled which is at the buffet, buffet was ok with lots to choose from and nice coffee. If you like wine don’t buy it in the hotel as very expensive there is a supermarket around the corner which sells lovely wine starting from a couple of euros a bottle. We had a lovely stay at this hotel with a fab view, a little too quiet though especially on an evening maybe in peak season it would be just right.

We truly loved our 3-night stay at Hotel Milano! The location was great - a short drive to Salo and had walkable shops and restaurants. We felt very safe in this hotel, as well. It was very quiet. We booked the "Superior, Lake View, Balcony" room and it had a great sized bedroom and bathroom. My husband is very tall, and the shower was the perfect size for him! The hotel staff was very friendly, accommodating and always present. The hotel came with complimentary breakfast, and it was wonderful - so many options! We also got to spend an afternoon by the pool, and it was delightful - wonderful views and landscape!

Hotel was very nice, location was excellent, breakfast was a good selection of warm/cold food. The room had a fantastic view of the lake and main bay. The bathroom could do with some updating replacing the bathroom with a shower cubicle and creating more space.

The hotel wasn't perfect, but we would still recommend it for the view alone. The hotel has the most glorious views of Lake Garda, so it's worth paying the extra for a lake view room. It is one of the few that has a pool and they provide towels. They could do with extra sunbeds, as some guests had to lay on the grass. The pool area is very shady, so if you want sun you have to keep moving your sunbed around to find a sunny spot. The hotel itself is very pretty, the communal areas are clean and our room was a good size. The negatives were that the bed was rock hard and the pillows weren't much better. The toilet was in an odd position behind the bathroom door, you had to hold the shower in your hand to use it and the shower screen just allowed the water to pour onto the floor. The TV didn't work. There was a small fridge which made the wardrobe hot but didn't keep anything cold. On the plus side the blackout blinds worked well, the aircon was great and we had a safe in the room. The waiting staff are friendly. We had lunch at the hotel a couple of times and had the Caesar salad, which was very good. The hotel is in a good location close to bars and restaurants (we would recommend the San Marco) and opposite the ferry terminal and ticket office. This is a great place to visit for a quiet and chilled break.

This hotel as it has the most glorious views across Lake Garda. We had a room on the 3rd floor, with a balcony at the front of the hotel and a wonderful view, which was worth every penny of the extra I had paid for a lake view room when booking. The balcony had sun in late afternoon, until early evening. Once the sun went down we had the perfect position to watch the evening entertainment or do a bit of people watching. The hotel is one of the few that has a pool and they provide towels for you to use. They could do with a few extra sunbeds, as some guests had to lay on the grass. The pool is great for a swim at the end of a hot day, but if you want to lay by it all day in the sun, the area is very shady, so you have to keep moving your sunbed around to find yourself a sunny spot. The view alone would have made this hotel an "excellent", but the room means I can only give it a "very good." The hotel itself is very pretty and the communal areas are clean. There were no instructions on towel etiquette, so we just chucked them in the bath every couple of days. The TV didn't work, not that we'd have watched it, but we should have had the option. There was a small fridge which made the wardrobe hot and never really kept anything in it very cold. On the plus side the blackout blinds worked well, the double glazing kept out the noise of the motorbikes, the aircon was great and we had a safe in the room ..... ooh and did I mention the beautiful view? Although the room wasn't perfect, we decided we could cope with the minor issues and they didn't affect our stay. The hotel waiting staff are friendly. We had lunch at the hotel a couple of times and had the Caesar salad, which was very good. We wouldn't recommend it for drinks, the beer was flat and the atmosphere on the one evening we came back for a drink at the bar, was flat too! There are bars and restaurants within a few yards of the hotel, a supermarket within a 5 minute walk and the ticket office and dock for the Lake ferry boats across the road, so overall the hotel's position was excellent. We would recommend this hotel, but perhaps pack your own pillow.

We are just home from a week at The Milano hotel; we upgraded to a room with a balcony & it was worth every penny! This is a fabulous, small friendly hotel in Maderno, perfect if you want to escape the crowds of the busier towns on the lake, but well situated for getting around, with the ferry pick up just opposite the hotel. The pool area was great for a lazy day, and the lunchtime snacks were delicious! We hope to return again to this lovely hotel 😍

This hotel is right in the middle of Maderno. We had a lovely time in a room with a great view. The main bars/restaurants are all within a short walk and there is a lovely cafe right outside (frozen cheesecake is lovely) Pool area is a decent size The staff were all very helpful The mid morning Late at the pool was quality Would definitely stay again Many thanks

Very bad hotel service. Loud AC and beding very dirty Toilet didn’t wash and towel yellowish with bad smell Staff didn’t pick up the phone to help, just yelling and show angry always. We don’t know why and didn’t clean the room even we told more than 2 days

My husband and I just returned from a 2 week holiday to italy. We hopped round 3 cities and then added a respite week to complete our trip. This hotel is beautiful we had a standard room not including a balcony. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating we enjoyed sitting by the pool and enjoying a drink in the evening at the bar. Breakfast was a great selection and a decent time of the morning. The area and the views are spectacular. Some of the restaurants are not so good. Hotel milano previous to covid had offered evening meals but due to the pandemic are only just recouping clientele. We would definately return to Lake Garda and to this hotel.
