The Felsenhaus with a view over Trier is built in the red sandstone rocks of the oldest city in Germany.
It offers a unique atmosphere with a panoramic view over the Roman monuments and the Moselle valley.
Living in the rock - close to town - close to nature - by the river
The house is located in Roman street, part of Via Grippa. This was built by the Romans and leads from Trier via the Eifel to Cologne. The Felsenhaus is over 100 years old and was completely restored in 2008. Trier's typical sandstone rocks form the back wall on all levels of the house and give the unique character. The 80 m2 of living space spread over 3 open levels, which are connected by stairs.
Ground floor: dining room, bathroom and kitchen (stove, oven, dishwasher, water cooker, Senseo coffee machine, fridge and freezer)
1. Upper floor: living room with panoramic view (TV, games corner with books and games). Here a third or fourth person can comfortably sleep on a sofa bed.
Second Upper floor: gallery with sleeping area.
You can use all the rooms of the freestanding house. There is also a private terrace and a bicycle garage.
The Felsenhaus is not barrier-free. The rooms are distributed on different levels.
As a real Trier, we can answer your questions about restaurants, shops, leisure activities and everything that contributes to your wellbeing. If you are coming by train, we can pick you up at the Trier train station. Wonderful House in the Rock
We had a very nice stay, owner (Petra) perfect in communication and availability. City of Trier at walking distance and lots of forests and hiking trails in proximity. Overal we had a wonderful time.

Such a fun place!
The view is spectacular!! Our kids thought the place was amazing and we also enjoyed it. Owner was very quick to answer any questions we had.
It's a little tricky to get to; but that was likely due to us not being from Germany/the area/understanding how the roads work. Once we understood how to get to it, it was a breeze to come and go. Beds were comfy! Hot was was hot, which made for a good shower.
There are a few cobwebs, but the spaces you touch were all fresh and clean.
I would suggest a stay here, and we'd gladly come back. The 3 floors of living spaces was actually kinda fun!

Angenehme Tage im Felsenhaus
Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem besonderen Ferienhaus. Es ist gut ausgestattet, besitzt ein angenehmes Klima durch die Felswände und bietet einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die Stadt Trier.

Uns hat die Unterkunft sehr sehr gut gefallen, ein wahres Idyll. Sehr schön gelegen und nah an der Innenstadt.
Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder

Toller Aufenthalt
Das Haus ist sehr beeindruckend und einzigartig und dazu noch sehr hübsch eingerichtet. Die ganze Familie war sehr begeistert. Da wir zu viert mit Kindern waren, war aber auch klar, dass das für uns nur ein paar Tage geht. Das Haus ist für Paare sicherlich besser geeignet. Wir hatten aber sowieso nur drei Nächte geplant. So war es ein schönes Erlebnis, dass unseren Trieraufenthalt nochmal besonders gemacht hat.
