First time in Pretoria and I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks on a business trip. Location is good (…just across the road from a major shopping mall) and not too far by car from many other places for dinner and drinks. The standard room is an OK size and has most of the amenities that you need in a room (safe, kettle, etc…). No iron & board in the room, but staff can bring one up at short notice. There is a small desk area to work from. Basic toiletries in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, AC was OK, and it was nice to have an opening window in a hotel room. Breakfast was excellent, but the food at lunch and dinner was fairly average. Had the steak one night and it was probably the worst steak I’ve ever had. The staff in the dinning and bar area were amazing and this made the experience of eating there so much better. From Friday night and over the weekend, the dinning and bar area becomes a bit of a party zone. It can get busy and loud during this time, so if this isn’t your scene, you may not enjoy it. I actually quiet liked it and it was refreshing to be in a hotel that had some life to it. As with the dinning staff, the reception staff were great and always helpful. A good, clean, reliable, and safe hotel. Food quality was a bit average, but there are other places nearby to eat dinner. I would recommend this place and would stay again.
