Explore the nearby Timberline Resort just 7 minutes away, or Canaan Valley Resort State Park, just an 11-minute drive, or venture to the stunning Blackwater Falls State Park, a 16-minute drive from your haven. For a true wilderness experience, the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area is only an 8-minute drive away (if you know the secret way to get there, which I can share,) Also, feel free to book a spa treatment at Canaan Valley Resort State Park, or use their indoor pool/spa area for a very nominal fee, or their outdoor pool in summer for a similarly low fee. Ice skating and tubing in the winter at Canaan and sledding at Blackwater Falls State Park. Back at the cabin-chalet, you'll find a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, large refrigerator, and all the necessary appliances to whip up delicious meals. Enjoy your culinary creations at the dining table(s), or step outside and fire up the grill for an al fresco dining experience on the large picnic table and Adirondack chairs.
