The Cavalry - Abhay Niwas

Great place to stay in Udaipur. Spacious and luxurious rooms and entire building was decorated with nice paintings and art works. I was impressed with personal warm welcome by the host. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you very much for enriching our tour of Rajasthan with your great hospitality.

One of the warmest and splendid homestays I have ever stayed on. The owner, retired colonel from the prestigious Indian Army, offers an experience worth remembering for. His son is an exceptional host, too. The rooms are pretty spacious, clean, very well designed and with an homely atmosphere. Will come back soon

I recently stayed at a property managed by Uday Bhansingh through Airbnb, and I could be more happier with my experience. The rooms and bathrooms were impeccably clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. Uday Bhansingh was incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Even when there was a concern due to a community issue, he handled the situation with great care and made sure we felt safe and at ease. The booking process was straightforward and hassle-free, and checking in was incredibly simple. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a well-maintained and welcoming place to stay.

We had a great time at the cavalry! Our host treated us like family and made us feel like home. He went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and gave us local tips and itineraries. The room is spotless and has all necessary amenities and the homemade food is delicious. I can’t recommend the cavalry enough!!

To all the readers of this review, I am not here to potentially harm anbodies business or malign anyone's image. Usually, in all the reviews which I give the person taking the review understands and gives a proper reply but here the person doesn't understand the meaning of HOME STAY and HOSPITALITY. Furthermore, I am not here to harm your image so don't be naive on that, if you can't take honest reviews you shouldn't be in this business. First and foremost part I will like to tell you that I have extensively traveled across India and stayed in both HOMESTAY properties and 5-STAR COMMERICAL properties, so you don't have to tell me what's available or not available. For your reference, we stayed in a similar kind of homestay in Jaipur but the person gave us open access to the kitchen, where water and plates for eating were available. WHICH WAS ALSO AN HOMESTAY. Secondly, he also gave us a key to the main door so we have the freedom to come and go. It's not about COMMERICAL OR HOMESTAY it's about HOSPITALITY and I don't think you understand that. For breakfast, you could have adopted a better way of just laying them on the table rather than every time disturbing us. You told us that your servant charges extra everytime he lays the plates for us. REALLY, how do justify your statement? Dinner prices are shocking because we stay in Mumbai and even here they don't charge Rs.800/- for chicken thali which has limited capacity. So don't tell me that you run HOMESTAY which is unique, your money-mindedness lacks the opposite end which is HOSPITALITY. ------------------ The rooms are good, the location is good but if you are looking for comfortable stay this might not be the place for you. They don't have any intercom facility which means that you either have to call them on phone or use whatsapp. Even while asking for water or plates we faced issues. The funny thing was we returned late on some nights and when we tried calling the house help to open the door, his incoming was unavailable. Reminded me of my house curfew when I was kid. LOL. Breakfast timings are strictly between 9 to 10, so no matter if you're in middle of emergency. You have to go and have breakfast or else several calls on your mobile phone will keep coming. One last advice if you are ordering the food ask for the cost of each item they serve because later you will be in for shock.
