Jag Niwas Guest House & Pure Veg Restaurant

A conveniently located accommodation within walking distance to many city attractions such as City palace, Bagore ki haveli, Ganghour ghat, Jagdish temple, Ambrai ghat. It is middle of heritage part of the city with lots of good restaurants and shops selling variety of cloths and souvenirs. The guesthouse is a tall building, looks like a residence converted into guesthouse, devoid of lift and gives a feeling of a resident staying in such place. Climbing stairs may be problematic for some old or unhealthy person. The washroom is small, bed ordinary, but the room is decorated with all amenities and well ventilated. City noise and music in evening from nearby restaurant may be an irritant. The guesthouse has a restaurant on its top floor i.e. 4th floor. The staff esp. Manoj and Veenu are gentle, polite and very helpful regarding any concern. They helped us in getting cabs and served us breakfast and morning tea. Overall, its a good deal for budget travellers.

Location is great, nearby is Pichola lake, Bagore ki Haveli, Jagdish Mandir, City Palace, Service staff behaviour is friendly and helpful too. But there are some facilities missing, like the toilet flush box in the bathroom is not properly attached to the wall, and the pipes holding the curtains are not fixed properly, so the curtains and pipes fall down while opening or closing the curtains. Bath towels and soaps are not changed daily. The rooms don't feel like hotels, they feel like hostels, and lack a bit of luxury, otherwise all over a good stay.

Location of the hotel is good: food is good: people are good: hotel is a old building renovated to hotel. Room are not very much spacious and also height of room is not as per the standards. Also there was no mirror in washroom due to which we faced some problem.

Prime location gangor ghat is only 100m far and everything is available also staff is friendly and kind i stayed with my family best for family

Market views from too floor is good.... They have rooftop restaurant if you like eating home made food even in travelling then just go for it. Almost all the popular site and places are walking distance from here... The staffs are cooperative.... We are three girls and they support us in their best possible way.

Food is delicious!!! The restaurant is pure veg and the staff and owner are super kind and welcoming. We came back after the breakfast we had here which was also super nice! Price is cheap compared to other restaurants and there are fans which make it comfortable to sit there
