Agulhas House & Diving

This is the only dive shop that I liked so much that I went back after my first visit. I loved the service. Loved the dive sites. Loved the included food. Did 14 dives total with them, including 2 baited shark dives, felt safe the whole time and saw SO MUCH STUFF. Sharks, turtles, eels, rays, and even dolphins! If you come during whale season, you can even save your money on a whale watching your since you'll probably see whales on your way out to the dive site. Love this dive shop and accommodation.

We spent one week at Agulhas, diving Aliwal Shoal every day. The place is amazing, but above all, the staff is super professional, approachable and accommodating. If you want to go diving off Umkomaas, don’t look any further!! They offer top notch diving experience, and in the afternoons they are happy to take you to different activities or places nearby. Ah, and with all meals included, you will think you’re on a week-long Liveaboard! Kudos to chef Alfred and his team for the amazing food! And special mention to Spenser (with an s!) for taking care of us to the last detail, Neville, who managed to take us to MV Produce even in a strong current, Marcus and Frikkie the best skippers in town, Matt, Michelle, Jayson and Yolanda! We saw mantas, many raggies, oceanic blacktips and even a whaleshark swam past us on a baited dive! Keep it up Agulhas! Marta and Carlos @thetravelingfrogfish

Very friendly atmosphere, I loved the mood. Very good food. The dive shop is very well organized and they make you comfortable in conditions that are not that easy. The rooms are essential but clean and comfortable. The only problem is that, unfortunately, we had some issues with the hot water, but they were solved during our stay.

The best. Amazing dives, wonderful accommodation, great food. And the kindness of every single person that works here! Thank you Yolanda for being the best mom, Spencer (sorry we couldn’t do our tec dive) for the sharing, Marcus for the launching part, Alfred for the delicious food, Jayson for being our buddy buffalo for 6 days, hugo for the dives, and all the people that contributed to make our vacation awesome. We’ll be back as soon as we can.

I've done around 2000 dives travelling around the world and I can assure you that I've hardly seen such professional and high level of customer service ! They can arrange you a subtrip anywhere around too (we did Ponta do Ouro, in Mozambique). The dives were incredible (7 different species of sharks, groupers, rays, moray eels, dolphins...) and the team exceptional (BIG thanks to Brett, Jayson, Spencer, Yolanda, Alfred, Hugo, Markus and all the others for being so kind, friendly and caring !). I can only but recommend your place: to anyone wondering which dive center to pick for their trip, Agulhas is the place to choose ! Thank you again to everyone that helped making this trip a lifetime memory!

If you come to Umkomaas to dive with sharks, I definitely recommend you stay at Agulhas House. The rooms are large and clean with view on the garden and pool. The main house is really a lodge for divers. Wall paintings, pictures, books, pergola… make you feel super comfortable to share experiences while having some drinks with other divers. But most important, the team here is authentic, knowledgeable and passionate ! Big thanks to Yolanda, Hugh, Spencer, Jason, Neville, Brett, Alfred, … You made the difference ! The dives were great and that was our primary objective ✅, but the day at Oribi Gorges was amazing, the endless talks at the brewery were so fun, the trip at Ponta Do Ouro was « paradise on earth », … and not to mention the safari at Tembe ! You guys rock !

Hôtel correct, moyenne gamme. Ambiance décontractée, accueil minimaliste. Pas de présentation du personnel. Manque de communication et de réactivité suite à la perte de mes bagages de la part de la gérante. Grande chambre, propre, vue piscine mais mal isolée, réfrigérateur . Repas et petit déjeuner, se sont améliorés après l'arrivée d'un groupe de 9 autres plongeurs. La piscine n' a été nettoyée, malgré mes remarques, que la veille de notre départ, à l'arrivée d'un nouveau groupe . Point positif : Organisation parfaite des plongées , en sécurité, tôt le matin, en petit comité, avec briefing clair, spots variés. Moniteurs professionnels . Malheureusement 3 plongées pas faites à cause du temps. Passage sportif des vagues et courants . Anglais indispensable . Euros pas acceptés , contrairement à ce que m'avait dit mon agence de voyage. CB avec frais ou Rand (monnaie locale)

El mejor lugar para bucear y sentirse como en familia. Gracias a la profesionalidad y el interés por complacer al cliente. Expertos en gestión de grupos y gestión en extensiones de viaje. Siempre ofrecen la mejor calidad en sus equipos e instalaciones. Habitaciones: Amplias y cómodas habitaciones, siempre limpias. Camas grandes, con buen colchón y buenas almohadas. Seguridad: Area privada, muy seguro. Comida y bebida: Comida de primera y saludable, cocina profesional.
