One of the best nights at The Falcon. My partners surprise 60th birthday party. Perfect from start to finish. Lily, you were great as always. You listened to what I asked for and it was executed to the letter. Everyone commented on how fantastic the evening was. Thankyou all so much

Great stay at the Falcon , the hotel was very busy as we arrived with a ongoing function , but managed to find a parking space and received a warm welcome from reception . Our room was located on the top floor of the building , really nice room but unfortunately difficult for my partner due to the number of stairs leading to the room . Fortunately even thought the hotel was full, a ground floor room was found for us . The room was great with a very large comfortable bed , really nice bathroom with an excellent shower. Had Dinner on the first night which was really good , Breakfast on both days was excellent good selection available . The hotel is in the centre of Uppingham so alternative bars and restaurants within easy walking distance . A great few days away which we both enjoyed, many thanks to the staff who enhanced the stay .

The PERFECT wedding venue! We had our wedding at The Falcon Hotel in August of 2024. I know it's cliche to say that your wedding day was the best of your life, but it truly was and this was so much in part to the amazing staff and seamless organisation of The Falcon Hotel. We could not thank them enough and are so grateful to them for making our day so special, in particular Lily and Ange! They took care of everything from timings and to ensuring everything and everyone was in the right place and the right time to moving our luggage to different rooms, but did it to such a high standard too – all of the extra details and care just made the day so much more enjoyable, especially for me as someone who has quite high expectations! Our guests stayed the night before the wedding and the night of and all said how good their stay was – the rooms were well-priced and incredibly comfortable and all enjoyed the food too! From an organisation point of view, it was so great to have everyone be able to stay at the venue the night before and the night of and the hotel made this really easy too – we were able to assign rooms to guests and have them contact the hotel whenever they could to secure their room. The hotel reserved the rooms for the dates required until we decided which rooms we required, which was such a relief as we know other friends have had a lot of stress with not being able to do this at other wedding venues. We were also given exclusive access for the day as we booked out the hotel. The hotel staff transformed the Garden Terrace at the back of the hotel into three different rooms throughout the day (which was such an incredible feat in itself). We had the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception with the band all in the same room but the restaurant area was also open to us to retire to while the staff turned around the space in a matter of minutes (it was honestly magic)! The garden at the back of the hotel is also such a fantastic space (weather permitting) with a lovely mini water fall that's perfect for wedding snaps! We've been to the hotel restaurant a couple of times before and have always rated the food 10 out of 10, but I was concerned when scaling this to a 100 person wedding the quality wouldn't necessarily translate. I couldn't have been more wrong. The food was DIVINE – we had two different starter options, roast beef for the main (with veggie and vegan options available too) and then a trio of desserts. The beef was mouthwateringly good and all of the trimmings were excellent. I could have eaten each course several times over (though I may not have fit in my dress by the end). If you're looking for a quaint, cosy and effortless all-inclusive wedding venue for up to 130 people with staff who are attentive, caring and go above and beyond, we could not recommend The Falcon Hotel highly enough!

What a wonderful hotel. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite (room 8) while celebrating my Wife's 40th birthday. A beautiful room with a four poster bed, lovely bathroom and views of the Market Place. The personal touches made our stay a memorable experience. We were made to feel very welcome and special by all the staff from our arrival at reception to our departure after the excellent breakfast.

We were impressed by every aspect of the Falcon hotel – a former coaching inn on Uppingham’s Market Square. The hotel has a small car park. The website says that the hotel will reimburse the cost of parking in the adjacent pay and display car park in the event that the hotel car park is full (though we never had to resort to this during our stay). Our room, which overlooked the rear terrace, was quiet, spacious and nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed. We stayed during a spell of very hot weather and were therefore very pleased that our room had a very good fan. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast comprised a small cold buffet with a hot dish made to order (and every item in the hot dish was hot on all three days of our stay). We had two very nice evening meals in Don Paddy – a very nearby restaurant/bar belonging to the hotel which was well air-conditioned (though they do not advertise this).

Just one night at the lovely Falcon Hotel. We loved it: a great evening meal in Fern and a lovely breakfast. Uppingham is an interesting place and the hotel enjoys prime position. It's a hotel with history but with all the amenities you'd want. We were fine in spite of high temperatures the day we arrived. We slept well. An excellent place!
