The staff is very polite and go above and beyond your expectations. We came as a large family (14 people including toddlers and infants). In the restaurant, the chef asked if the kids want anything else besides the buffet and made them a bowl of pasta with tomato sauce. In addition, from our second day, the waiter asked if they could prepare and reserve a lerger table for us at dinner. Besides this, the food at the buffet tables is outstanding with special meals (e.g., prawn, deer) available every day. The room was comfortable with properly working heating system (not always the norm in some Hungarian hotels) and the drapes were also keeping the lights out for a quality sleep. The facilities are recently renovated and are definitely 4* (if not more). I wish the indoor pool was a bit warmer, but this is only a minor issue. We had a great time, will definitely come back.

The service is perfect and the surroundings are beautiful, the rooms and the wellness area are very sophisticated. I highly recommend it to people with small children, it is a very baby friendly hotel (baby cot, crib, baby bath, toys, animators and playroom). The quality of the food and the choice was excellent.

The hotel has been recently renovated and has a great view of Mátra. The SPA section is very extensive, you can find all kinds of wellness services. The food was very delicious and the staff was also very nice. Overall we were satisfied. Recommended for everyone.

Hotel located in hearth of Mátra. Opened several months ago after a massive reconstruction, extension. Perfect service, very polite, nice staff with lot of smile. Grate food, good wellness complex (i.e. breathtaking panorama from sauna). Smart, guest friendly services helps that everybody find own comfort and joy.

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. We initially thought it was too expensive but it was worth every penny. The spa, the view, the facilities, the food were all outstanding. The whole place is very clean, you can tell that they constantly work hard to keep everything neat and shiny. We want to praise the restaurant staff for their professionalism and a real 5-star service. All the foreign employees are super polite and kind as well; it is obvious that there is a great work culture at the hotel. Chef also comes out a lot during dinner to check on the buffet. I commented that I didn’t find enough vegetarian options and he rectified it immediately by bringing me a plate especially prepared for me. We will definitely be back in the summer. A few pieces of constructive feedback: the single bed sizes are too small, there should be a small coffee table on the balcony and a kettle in every room, the pool water is too cold, the lobby setting could be made cosier and more welcoming, the breakfast and dinner buffets should offer more vegetarian options. But our overall impression was very positive. I am a Swiss hotel management school graduate and have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and I can honestly say I am proud that the standards of this Hungarian country hotel are totally on par with any of those of its counterparts abroad.
