Amazing stay, clean quiet and delicious breakfast, good service with bike rent around the town

Enjoyable room. Not the best beds. Clean. Great history. In this world known, small international village. Great parking next to the hotel. In the old village. Big rooms. Dogfrienly. An avarage breakfast. But ok. The hotel is great in its marketing strategy

We have stayed at the Hotel de Wereld numerous times over many years, and we always thoroughly enjoy it. Friendly and accommodating staff, a nice restaurant with a great outdoor dining area when the weather is good. Comforable room, and air conditioned when the weather is warm. Super convenient--everything in town is no more that a 10 minute walk. Beautiful arboreteums within walking distance. It's a winner.

the whole staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was large, bright and beautifully decorated. It's obvious that the people who own this place enjoy their work. The historical background is very interesting. Good location nearby the pedestrian zone of Wageningen.

Lovely place with great attitude. Although it is a quiet place, there is a large supermarket next to it and many shops further down the street. We will definitely go back there again. The only thing that bothered me was that the room is cleaned once every three days and not all rooms have a wardrobe.

Have stayed at Hotel de Wereld a few times and each room is unique and exciting. Would recommend this hotel to anyone with a sense of adventure - and those looking for a super comfy place away from home. It's amazing to eat in the dining room surrounded by so much history, and on a warm summer days to sit outside at the cafe in the beautiful town of Wageningen.

Hotel de Wereld is a great choice for a stay in Wageningen. It is central and convenient. The rooms are huge - very comfortable and with everything you need. The staff are great and an added bonus is the wonderful restaurant and comfortable lounge areas. Totally recommend.

On our journey from Germany to Amsterdam, we made a brief stopover for a night at this property in Wageningen, approximately an hour’s drive from Schiphol Airport. While the free parking behind the hotel was a welcome amenity, it proved somewhat difficult to locate and access. The check-in experience, however, was nothing short of exceptional. Simon, the receptionist, handled our arrival with a level of politeness, friendliness, and personal touch rarely encountered these days. He engaged us in a conversation about the hotel and our room. This refreshing approach set a positive tone for our stay. Room 104 was impressive. It was spacious and well-appointed with a comfortable sofa and a large, firm king bed adorned with clean, comfortable sheets. The bathroom was equally impressive. Clean, spacious, and modern, the individual split air conditioning unit worked efficiently, enhancing our comfort. The room’s quality evoked the feeling of staying in a top-notch American hotel. Although we did not explore much of the hotel’s amenities, such as the bar, lounge, or restaurant, the location made up for it. The hotel was close to multiple grocery stores, restaurants, and a bus stop. Admittedly, the city did not impress with its cleanliness or charm, but the dreary, rainy weather might have contributed to this impression. Overall, I am pleased with my choice. We stayed on Monday, May 27, 2004, in room 104 on the first floor. The cost was approximately 163 euros, all-inclusive. The experience was well worth it, and I would consider returning if my travels bring me this way again.

Great boutique hotel. Each room has a theme and a story. It is in the middle of a charming city. The owner, Hans, works on the property. Excellent service. The LeV restaurant on property is excellent gourmet dining. The hotel is in the middle of a walking around charming town of outdoor cafes and interesting shops. An awesome weekend experience. And the bed is super comfortable.

Fantastic hotel; super friendly staff; facsinating history! Very child staff! I stayed in this hotel following a long hike with my 8-yr old daughter. We got a beautiful amazing room named after one of the heroes of freedom

The room was perfect, the bed and pillows so soft and warm. The bathroom huge and modern. Clean and comfortable, we will come back!!! A historical place, a freedom symbol. Easy to go everywhere by foot and by car.Close to the city centre but quiet and silent to relax , read or sleep.

Beautiful hotel and room. De restaurant is great, we had a very nice diner and breakfast. The history of the hotel is so interesting. Though we had a problem with the sink in our room which was leaking and they could not manage to repair it during our stay. We do not like all the sms’s you get. Natural contact between the reception and us as guest is preferable.

Hotel De Wereld is an excellent hotel with comfortable rooms, excellent service and good food. But what makes it unique is that it has embraced its historical significance (the Germans surrendered the Netherlands here in May 1945) with themed rooms dedicated to a freedom fighter. We stayed in the ML King Jr room with pictures of ML King, his family, and the March on Washington. You can even listen to his famous “I have a dream” speech while sitting on the toilet! This made our stay more than just a comfortable one, but a profound one as we reflected on the meaning of freedom then and now, here and there.

My daughter and I loved the history & atmosphere of the hotel; the really warm hospitality; excellent breakfast; and our amazing Mahatma Gandhi room made it a really memorable experience! It’s very conveniently located, too.
