YHA Boscastle

Absolutely brilliant! We snagged a great deal on a private room for £35 and it was fab. The location is beautiful, our room had everything we needed including a wardrobe, sink, and lovely views, the communal areas were clean, tidy and comfy and the kitchen had everything you need. The bathroom was nice, more like a home bathroom than a usual shower cubicle type in some hostels. Things to note: There's no parking so you'll park in the carpark but its not very costly for 24hours ( around £6 I think) and only 5 - 10 mins to walk. Take your own towels as usual in a hostel and tea/coffee etc... Lots of lovely places to explore nearby, some fantastic walks inland with old churches and some great hills, and the coastal walks of course, and pretty shops, cafes and restaurants so a nice little weekend spot. Definitely worth a visit if you see a good deal room. I personally wouldn't pay more than £40-£50 but i'm tight so thats probably just me.

A lovely little hostel, in an absolutely perfect location. Fab staff & good self catering facilities. Would recommend & definitely stay again. Fab cliff top walks & dramatic scenery all around. A great base to explore the North Cornish coastline.

fab location right by the river complete with ducks etc. Very pretty scenery. clean, modern yet in a characterful old building. On south west coastal path route. The place is well kept and organised. Will be back!

Not just an incredible stay for a hostel but comparable to the kind of stay I’d have expected from a 5-star hotel. One of the best accommodation experiences I’ve ever had and I’ve spent years travelling the world. The team are there during check-out and check-in times and always treated us as friends. Our room was right by the river and we slept with the sound of that or the sound of the tide coming or going which was heavenly. Boscastle is beautiful and we spent each day walking for hours and the evening eating delicious food in the local pubs, restaurants and cafes. We couldn’t have had a more perfect stay, thank you Boscastle YHA!

This is in a great location when visiting N Cornwall . Enjoyed the morning and evening walks . It’s a fairly small hostel but our room was spacious and more than I expected Great value for money and staff were very helpful. Overall excellent stay and will return soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at YHA Boscastle. The location is second to none, the hostel was spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the communal spaces and our private room were comfortable and spacious. We will definitely stay in more YHAs but I think this one will be hard to beat.

Incredible location, we were able to paddle board from the hostel and sunset from the rocks was beautiful. The hostel was very clean. Great for a couple of nights family get away or part of a longer trip.

The location is the best there is! Right on the harbour at Boscastle. Couldn't have asked for better. Near to the bus stops, and a few little shops including a premier store at the top of the hill if you are self catering. Staff were extremely helpful, allowing us to drop our bag off in the morning and then come back at 5pm for check in. The harbour is where all the action takes place especially at high tide, where my grandson spent ages jumping off into the sea. Near by is The Devils Bellows, go over the bridge and take the path to the right just to the top past the boats (5mins walk) Go 2hrs before low or 2hrs after high tide and you will hear the blow hole in the cliffs opposite making strange noises. You can see it spitting the water out too.

Can’t even begin to tell you what a gem of a hostel this is; definitely one of the best YHAs we’ve stayed at. The location is stunning; Boscastle is beautiful and the village has everything you could need for a stay. The hostel is 2 minutes walk from everything and right on the beautiful South Coast Path. We stayed in room 6, a family room with kitchenette, fridge and en suite, perfect for our family of 4 (and the washing machine was an added bonus!) Communal seating and dining areas were homely and immaculate. Bike store and drying room were fabulous although the weather was so good we took advantage of the washing line to dry wetsuits and towels. Ideally situated for visiting Tintagel, Bude, Port Isaac, Polezeath and Padstow. The harbour when the tide is in is the most stunning natural swimming pool; crystal clear and great for paddleboarding, kayaking and open water swimming. Shout out to the lovely ladies who run the hostel; they were super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
