Wentworth Hotel

My wife and I booked a stay at The Wentworth, it was on one of their last minute offers. We had been to this hotel before, but it was many years ago. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly, and helpful receptionist. Our room, a sea facing room, was very clean and had everything we might need. There is plenty of space outside to sit and relax, with lots of colourful planted tubs, and displays. With views of the sea. Inside, again, lovely comfortable lounge areas, well decorated and clean. My wife was particularly taken with the beautiful flower arrangement in one of the lounges. Dinner was delightful, staff friendly and helpful. Menu choice very good, we only wished we were staying more nights to take advantage. Service was very good and dinner well paced. We were impressed by all aspects of our dinning experience. Breakfast again was very good, lots of choice. Well cooked and service efficient. We were seated for both meals in the conservatory, so views again of the coast. Adjoining is a large dinning room, clean crisp linen and flowers on the tables. The hotel was quite busy with guests, but we never felt on top of each other because there is plenty of space. We both wondered why we hadn't returned sooner..............especially as we only live in North Norfolk. We shall return.

Unfortunately we had to cancel because of a serious medical issue. The receptionist was kind and understanding and we were not required to make any payment. Other hotels in Norfolk and Suffolk do not behave in the same way. Thank you

Had a wonderful stay this weekend - the sea view room really was such a joy and everything about the hotel oozed class and sophistication Certainly full of Edwardian charm in abundance amd all of the staff were warm and friendly and added to our experience Food in the hotel also was first class and all of the areas to relax in were well maintained and very peaceful Would most certainly recommend and will most definitely return again

A wonderful hotel with lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional. Lots of lovely dishes to choose from. Room was comfortable and clean. Lots of lovely places to sit and relax indoors and outdoors. A lovely cosy little bar inside, which was lovely. Great location. I’d definitely visit again in the future.

We went to the Wentworth three weeks ago, for a couple of days much needed break. We have stayed at the hotel before and always look forward to returning. The hotel and staff are delightful. We must firstly mention the organisational, front-of-house genius of Hannah, who sorted out changing our room allocation with ease. This was not a logistical challenge for the faint hearted but Hannah made it seem like a breeze! Hannah is a wonderful ambassador for the Wentworth - smiling, welcoming and so efficient. In the dining room we could not have asked for lovelier waitresses. A huge thank you to Jamie and Lavinia who are first class and so professional in their roles. Nothing was too much trouble for them - we were so well looked after - what lovely people. We look forward to seeing you again soon ladies! Finally, I would like to thank the chef who made the finest raspberry posset I have ever eaten. Yum! I hope it’s still on the menu when we return, which will be very soon.

Loved this hotel. Warm, welcoming, very comfortable lounge areas and some beautiful pieces of period furniture. Nice bar with an intimate “clubby” feel to it. The staff are excellent, professional yet friendly, a credit to the hotel. My wife and I chose a large room on the second floor with a large bay window and sea views. This was a great choice giving lots of room, two comfortable armchairs and a table in the bay window. We particularly enjoyed this as we have large rooms at home and sometimes hotel rooms can feel rather cramped. The bed was a super king double and super comfy! We went on the bed breakfast and dinner option and we are glad we did. The food is without doubt some of the best we have enjoyed in any hotel and we have stayed in quite a number at home and abroad over many years. The quality is of the highest order and the choice, cooking and presentation superb. The restaurant, because that’s what it is rather than a “dining room “ is lovely with a good ambiance consisting of a main area and a conservatory area in which we ate. The restaurant staff were excellent, and were always attentive when needed, for example I dropped a knife on the floor and a staff member was over in a shot to pick it up and replace it with a fresh one. That is representative of the quantity of the service. It is very popular with non residents as well as residents and that creates a nice atmosphere. All in all a great two night stay. We will be visiting Aldeburgh in the future and as far as we are concerned this is the only place to stay.
