Hosts were so niceeeee! The room was comfortable with a great mountain view. I really love the breakfast. And can walk only 5 minutes to the railway station and 3 minutes to the bus stop.

Wonderful guesthouse to stay in and visit the Lake District. Room was nice and clean ! Hosts Anita and Denis were super hospitable and friendly, and whipped up a fantastic Caribbean breakfast (Saltfish Fritters) and Full English Breakfast for us each morning :) Highly recommended for anyone who wishes to stay at Windermere !

和朋友在湖區的旅行很愉快。Anita非常熱情，提供了公交和遊船時間表，房子裏還有很多小冊子，方便我們更好遊覽湖區。早餐美味可口，房間温馨舒適。湖區風景特別美麗，特別多羊元素，一個非常值得來的地方。整體體驗非常棒，強烈推薦！

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Anita brought us homemade cake on arrival into our comfy room. Coffee, tea, water, cookies are all supplied in the room. Such a comfortable bed, and douvet and 3 pillows each. The towels are absorbant and thick. The breakfasts were amazing and such a lot to choose from. Better than most restaurants. You must try Dennis's scrambled eggs!! You can use the dining room if you wish to bring your own dinner, which we did. A good place to watch the sunset over the mountains. The location is perfect for exploring the lake district. Thank you again Anita and Dennis for a memorable stay. Hope to see you again. Baaabaaa

We had a great stay for 4 nights. Anita is a great host and does everything to make sure you have a good stay. Especially the breakfast is fantastic, a lot of fresh fruit and the bagel with salmon, avocado and egg is great. But also the English breakfast is possible. If you want to see the lake district this is a good place to stay. The room Windermere has a fantastic shower after a day hiking

As soon as you walk through the door, you feel welcomed. “Would you like some lemon drizzle cake?” was one of the best greetings I have ever received. Very welcome after a 7 hour trip from Essex. Alongside the great hospitality, they are fully geared up with walk and trip recommendations. The bookshelves are lined with handy guides. The bed is spacious and super comfortable. Lots of lovely places to eat locally. Anita & Denis love what they do, and you feel it.

If there were ever a perfect place to call heaven on earth, then Archway Guest House would be it. Made to feel so welcome from start to finish and the breakfasts I had on both mornings were to die for. The Windermere Suite was so comfy and homely, and the view from the window was spectacular. Denis and his son, Stephen, could not do enough for me and were really helpful with local information and allowing me to leave my luggage on my departure day while I went out walking in the hills. I will most definitely be back again in future, and will highly recommend Archway to family and friends when I return to Scotland. Thank you so much for making my stay one of the most memorable I’ve ever had.
