Aliathon Resort

Writing while I’m here. I have 0 negatives. We are in the fishing village part, beautiful room with lots of space, room cleaned and fresh towels daily. Lovely breakfast, if you don’t make it, don’t worry the amazing snack bar which is open 10-6 has you covered! Nuggets/pizza/chips/burgers/hot dogs/pasta and salads, wraps and so so much more! Don’t forget the incredible deserts! Lunch and evening food lovely too. Lots of lovely spacious pools, we have a 12 year old but loved that the kids pool is sloped not steps, and it’s huge and still shallow! Perfect for younger kids or non swimmers. Don’t forget the amazing splash pool with little slides and water features etc. The amazing holiday village team will have you entertained from morning till night what ever your age, they aren’t pushy. Just take a look on the app, there is soooo much to do, we loved the hv team they really made our holiday. We did high ropes most morning and archery, then paddle boards and canoe games, list goes on! Honestly can’t fault the place, will def be back, such an amazing holiday we have all had and not too far from lots that’s going on around the island. Hire a car, best thing we did! Little car was £150 for 10 nights, brilliant. Lots you can walk too and great bus routes.

What can I say. What a perfect holiday for our family. We enjoyed every single second of it. Every aspect we found to be outstanding. Food Drink Entertainment Room Cleanliness Friendliness Staff Olga who was front of house was amazing, especially with our young son Reay. He misses her still. Casey was brilliant with our boys also. Her energy in the entertainment team department was brilliant. The other main entertainment team had the best energy and kept us all entertained. We will be booking again. Perfect for a young family. Brilliant

We spent the day at HV Aliathon Resort visiting our lovely daughter who is part of the HV academy team. Thank you to Yiannis for a fantastic day and evening. We honestly couldn’t fault the resort… amazing pool areas, fantastic food and awesome fun evening entertainment where Grace dragged me up on stage for a challenge A massive thank you again to Yiannis and our special daughter who we miss every single minute of the day …Molly HV Fitness (I even joined her for Aqua fit) I’m back in June so can’t wait to visit again

We visited 7 years ago and loved it so returned. It absolutely top class and wonderful for families. The entertainment is second to none. Constantly something going on for the kids. Food is amazing, great quality. Staff so friendly. Fishing village apartments could do with a revamp but still fine.

We have just returned from an absolutely amazing 11 night stay at this hotel (family of 4 - girls aged 5 and ＜1). The hotel is clean and modern and all of the staff are so friendly.  We stayed in an Ionian superior room which was really modern and clean, it had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, shower was really powerful, and the balcony was nice and big and had great views of the hotel (we emailed in advance and requested a room on this side). The only negative is that the music from the evening entertainment can be very loud so if you're a light sleeper who goes to bed before 11 I'd request a room on the other side! The food is excellent and there's so much choice - I don't think we ate the same thing more than once! It's all very fresh and they replenish it regularly so nothing looks like it's been around very long. The evening buffet restaurant is in a beautiful setting with water and lights it's the nicest all inclusive setting I've eaten in before. Olga who works in this restaurant is so lovely our two girls absolutely loved her she was amazing with them both. During our stay we also dined at the greek and mexican restaurants once each. The Mexican was great the food and drinks were delicious and the staff were fantastic. If you don't want to go into the main restaurants for buffet foods during the day I'd recommend the splash bar as there's a good range of food there all day long - pizza, wraps, pasta, salads etc.  There's loads of drinks available as part of the all inclusive - spirits, beer, wine, cocktails, soft drinks, coffee, tea, slushies. I recommend asking for an iced latte with baileys - it's delicious!! There's around 10 different cocktails on the all inclusive list which is great, I was just disappointed that Pina colada wasn't on this list as it's usually a holiday favourite of mine! The bar in the middle of the resort near the splash pool (manned by Slevin who is so nice!!) has self serve water, soft drinks, beer and wine which is great. The pools are all lovely and clean and reallty good size and there's plenty of sun loungers to use - we didn't have to get up at 6am to reserve any! The splash pool is so good for kids there's plenty to keep them entertained! Throughout the day there's plenty of activities you can get involved in if you want to - pool party, raft building, inflatables, quizzes, bingo etc. The HV purples who work at the hotel are all so friendly and work so hard. They really put so much effort into everything they do. Our 5 year old tried out the kids club but unfortunately the age bracket was 3-5 and I think she was a bit bored during the sessions - there were a lot of younger kids and there's such a big difference in pre school 3 year olds and 5 year olds. I wonder if a pre school group and then a desperate school age + group would be better. Maybe during the main school holidays the group would have been better and had more 5 year olds in it? I would recommend if you have a child less than 3 t

We had a fantastic family holiday. The village reps ‘The Purples’ do a fab job at making the kids holiday unforgettable. TJ Lewis Maddie and Teigan deserve a special mention for all their hard work. The hotel restaurant staff are friendly and love kids- high fives all round, and thumb wars which my children loved. The activities for the kids throughout the day are well organised - kayaks, paddle boards, high ropes etc. food was great and varied always hot, al a carte Mexican was great, Greek nice also. Drinks ok- cocktails could definitely be improved- perhaps nicer glasses, they all tasted the same in my opinion. Fishing village room was large, if slightly dated. Felt disappointed with the quality of the maid service- I feel that the room wasn’t cleaned to a good standard everyday. Floors not swept/mopped etc. - there’s not the huge presence of a cleaning ‘army’ that you get at other all inclusives and I felt this let the resort down. Sometimes the floors by the bars etc were sticky from spilt drinks, the chairs in the outside eating areas although they were jet washed at least once during our stay they need constant observation or end up with bird poo on them from the birds outside. Something I feel should be addressed. The floors around the pool could do with a jet wash more regularly as spilt drinks- other hotels stack the sunbeds everyday and clean up- this didn’t seem to be the case here. On a few occasions the decorative water features around the restaurant had litter floating in- just something we noticed. These little things I felt would improve the hotel, considering the price bracket. I feel there’s not enough staff to keep fully on top of these things. The kids arcade area was grubby and needed a good clean up too. We would return as we had a great holiday, food was good and kids activities were excellent, I just think that a few tweaks would justify the price paid.

Stayed at Aliathon Holiday Village / Ionian Hotel in mid May for 11 nights and had a fabulous holiday. This place is so well set out, pretty, and spotless. We were a party of 6 (two grandparents, daughter n husband, 6 yr old and a baby of 5 mths. I’d recommend completing pre-check in forms as it speeds up the process. We’d emailed to request rooms next door to each other 2242 family room with partition and 2244 double room, and we were given them, happy days! These rms were entertainment facing, had a great view of the pool, had super comfy beds, and loads of space. Staff at this HV are hard working n amazing, the manager totally leads by example, always willing to help no matter how big or small the problem is and is always smiling. There is plenty of choice in the restaurant and always something for everyone . The food is pretty good and you’ll be amazed at the selection of cakes in the evening, all delicious !!! If u get the chance opt for having b’fast and lunch at the back of the restaurant in the garden area / roadside, it’s beautiful and so relaxing. A special mention for Pambos (bar man with white hair) who does a fantastic job and also to Soula who is lovely and works hard in the restaurant. There is constant entertainment for the kids (adults not so much) the purples /TUI reps work their socks off keeping the kids happy and entertained, they’re a great bunch. Can totally recommend Ocean Vision Half Day Cruise - sax player, DJ, singer, food, drinks/cocktails and glass bottom, best boat trip ever!! Booked it with TUI rep at reception. Also a trip to the Waterpark is a must, it’s a fabulous place. Fiesta’s is a good shout if u want to try a restaurant outside the resort, great steaks and drinks, also worth a mention is Spice Hut/Indian restaurant, food was lovely. Garden Bar just outside the Agean entrance is also nice for a change. If you’re in the Ionian hotel and looking for a day away from main pool or splash pool, we found that spending time at the swim up pool can be a bit more chilled.

The best hotel we have stayed at! Our children loved the kids club, so many activities to offer and all the purples are so friendly. The hotel staff couldn't do enough for us! Couldn't fault anything, thank you to everyone involved. We will be back!
