We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making check-in a breeze and offering great recommendations. We loved the convenient on-site laundry facilities, which came in handy during our trip. The location is perfect – just a short walk from the river, with stunning views that made our evenings truly memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort and scenic beauty!

The room was clean and tidy, larger than expected, and located by the river with a nice view. It was just a bit far from the station.

Overall, everything is very good. the room is clean, the environment is nice, and free coffee is provided every day. The only small issue is that the exhaust fan in the bathroom is a bit loud. However, I had one unpleasant experience with a female staff member (curly long hair), her customer service attitude was very poor, and she didn’t apologize for her mistake. On the other hand, another male staff member was very friendly and helpful, which I really appreciated.

Due to no fault of the hotel, the road was impassable for car, which meant guests had to walk along the towpath to fain access to the hotel. Older or less mobile guests may need to consider this when booking.

Wha an amazing hotel-great location, rooms were spotless! We had an issue with an alarm going off and they moved us to another room with no bother! Would definitely recommend and will be staying next time we visit York

Rooms are new and very spacious, with a small kitchen area that allows simple cooking. Situated in the ouse river area and is very close to roundtree park. A super enjoyable stay here!

The hotel is very peaceful, surrounded by nature and located near the river, while still being close to the railway station. The facilities and amenities are excellent. The room was clean and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again in the future.

Came here with my mum. Wanted a place to stay which was walking distance to the centre and was self catering. Safe to say this was a very good decision. It was very clean throughout and the kitchen had everything you needed. Parking was £15 per day which was actually cheaper than other places near by. Had spaces outside and underground but had no issues with finding space (at the time we came).

Our room temperature control didn’t work at all. The two nights we stayed were extremely hot and unbearable. We reported to the receptionist and she said since the rooms were all booked it’s impossible to switch a room for us. The two-day stay was a very terrible experience since we were sweating all the time in the room. We came down to the reception desk for at least three times, but got no solution except for merely apology.
