Given the armed forces of the Russian Federation are engaging within 30 kilometers of the city of Zaporizhzhya, the team at the Khortitsa Palace Hotel provides a safe and impressive display of professionalism and deliver five-star service during a war that is very near to their front door. The rooms are terrific- particularly the suites. The lobby bar service is outstanding, and the dining operation is spectacular, again given the circumstances. The digital menu is visually what would be expected at a five-star property- but remember the circumstances. Yet, any item selected arrives as it looks in the digital menu images. The teams in reservations, reception, bar, restaurant, and housekeeping are professional and kind... and kindness is incredibly valuable. Lastly, critical for guests to appreciate the current circumstances- so if the city has a power outage, if an item is unavailable, if something is out of place... consider the realities of each of the team members who endure these every day- yet show up to provide quests with a terrific experience.
