Квинсленд, Австралия: Апартаменты

It was a bit painful from the get go checking in. You have to go to a different hotel a block over. There is nowhere to park to check in. I called the number to be put through to a call centre that isn’t on site. Call 1: yes you can park in the visitor parking just buzz and they’ll let you in. Call 2: while blocking the driveway I’m unable to find a buzzer that reaches reception. Operator sounds confused, I hang up and someone is coming out so I sneak in. Call 3: I’m parked in visitor parks, go up the lift and come out at another building. She again sounds confused. If I go out the door I won’t be able to get back in without a fob, so I’m asking which way I should go. There are no signs to tell me how to get to Ivy and Eve apartments. I eventually find a worker who takes me around to reception. Sorted. Or so I think. I check in with reception. The girl was really lovely and informative. So I think, until I reach the carpark of the next building I’m staying at. The sheet of paper she gave me says “your allocated car space is 131 and is located on 55. I drive in looking for level 55, car space 131. Neither of these exist. Call 4: Where is my carpark? Am I missing something. Keep in mind every time I call I’m asked to give all my details so they can verify my booking so by now I’m pretty tired of it all. She finds my booking and says oh yes you’re in park 55 on level B1. (See photo for why I was confused!) I drive around the carpark looking for a 55. It doesn’t exist. All carparks are labelled with a sign saying Art house and 4 numbers. Ok maybe it’s the last 2? Nope doesn’t exist. After driving around for a bit I realise there are numbers on the ground of the carpark that are completely different to the signs (I didn’t look at the ground because the signs said art house) So finally I work out that this is my park. Another confused guest stops to ask me where his park might be and I explain it’s the floor ones not the art house signs. So I wasn’t the only one. Ok so park the car, go upstairs to room 1106 which of course is on floor 10. Makes sense lol. As soon as I open the door I’m hit with a wet musty kind of smell. Like the place had been flooded and not allowed to dry out properly maybe? I opened all the windows and when that didn’t work I went and bought some air freshener to hide the smell a bit. We left all the doors open all night and next day and the smell improved. The lounge chairs are not comfy if you’re looking for a stay in watch Netflix type staycay, but the beds are really comfy. The place was pretty immaculately clean so that was nice. And washer dryer were great to have. If I had have known I’d need to go through all that checkin at another building I would not have booked. Maybe I missed the part that mentioned this? Ahh well we enjoyed our stay in general, it just didn’t get off to a good start.

Достаточно близко к главной улице, чтобы насладиться всем, что может предложить Серферс-Парадайз, но достаточно далеко, чтобы избежать постоянного шума, толп и хаоса с парковкой. Главная улица была очень оживленной, поэтому мы быстро обнаружили, что электровелосипеды — лучший способ передвижения. Сам Серферс-Парадайз был великолепен: оживленная атмосфера, множество развлечений, магазины, работающие допоздна, отличные варианты питания и много уличных музыкантов. Мы забронировали двухкомнатные апартаменты с видом на море, и они полностью оправдали наши ожидания как по виду, так и по расположению. Удобства отеля были превосходными — крытый и открытый бассейны, спа-центр, сауна, паровая баня, тренажерный зал и теннисные корты. Наши подростки особенно наслаждались всеми этими удобствами. Однако были некоторые существенные проблемы, которые повлияли на наше пребывание. Мы жили в апартаментах 26B, и у нас не было кондиционера на протяжении всего шестидневного пребывания, что было очень неудобно, учитывая, что было лето. Мы также не знали, что стойка регистрации работает только в ограниченное время. Когда мы звонили рано утром и снова около 16:00, никто не мог ответить. В конце концов, нам удалось поговорить с кем-то на второй или третий день, и менеджер отеля пришел помочь, но, к сожалению, он мало чем смог помочь. Нам сказали, что, вероятно, вышел из строя компрессор, а это значит, что кондиционер вообще нельзя использовать. Было очень неприятно, что нам продали номер на пять ночей, зная, что апартаменты не полностью исправны. Чистота также вызывала нарекания. Полы во всех апартаментах были липкими и грязными, особенно маслянистый и грязный пол на кухне. Один из наших сыновей обнаружил, что диван липкий на ощупь, а в ванной комнате были волосы, что нас очень разочаровало. Хотя нам действительно понравился отель, его территория и удобства, очевидно, что есть возможности для улучшения как стандартов чистоты, так и обслуживания клиентов. Кроме того, мы столкнулись с неприятным инцидентом с одной из давних жительниц, которая пожаловалась на то, что наши дети играют в бассейне с маленьким резиновым мячиком, утверждая, что это противоречит правилам, несмотря на то, что другие дети — включая её собственных — прыгали в бассейн. Учитывая, что это были школьные каникулы и многие семьи пользовались услугами отеля, жалоба показалась нам необоснованной. Нам также сообщили, что жители нижних этажей иногда жалуются на шум от посетителей бассейна, что может стать постоянной проблемой при краткосрочном проживании. В целом, у отеля большой потенциал, но улучшение технического обслуживания, чистоты и коммуникации с гостями значительно повысит качество обслуживания.

С балкона номера открывается вид на пляж, а весь апартаментный комплекс полностью оборудован. В номере есть кухня с духовкой и микроволновой печью, а также стиральная машина и сушилка. В здании также есть крытый и открытый бассейны, сауна и тренажерный зал. Расположение отличное, менее чем в десяти минутах ходьбы от центрального торгового района Серферс-Парадайз.

An absolutely excellent place stay, would recommend, even just based on the staff and the breakfast. I observed that great care was taken of people checking in to stay who would be going to the hospitals local to the area. Check-in was so easy, and the reception staff was very kind. Things I loved: * the included healthy breakfast, * free on-site parking *Ferrari in the reception area (no idea why it's there, and I'm no car enthusiast, but it is a classy touch) * very friendly and kind staff * neat and good layout of room * comfortable bed * good air conditioning * friendly people throughout the building * walking distance to Chermside shopping centre * excellent price Thing I didn't like as much: * not really sound-proofed, you sometimes hear sounds from other rooms and hallways * the balcony area did have a bit of a smell in the early evening, dissuading me from eating outside until later on - this might have just been the day I stayed. It was nice enough later to leave the door open and have a bit of a breeze while sleeping. Highly recommended.

Beautiful gorgeous apartment. We booked the beachfront view and it was absolutely perfect. Unobstructed view of the ocean + tennis courts. Pool was warm, clean and refreshing. Beautful long walk by the beach to Surfers Paradise. Bus stop a minute away to go anywhere in GC. Service by Luke, the young blonde guy at reception was a 2/5. We were given a room that didn't have a working dishwasher & dryer. Luke didn't even attempt to make any suggestions to help us. We had to return the next day to ask the older lady if we could use another dryer as we had a lot of wet clothes from being at the beach daily and at the pool. Our first day, we loaded the dishwasher and left for town only to come back to a flooded kitchen. We cleaned up without making a fuss. Service needs to be better.

This was not our first stay and in the main it was good. We stayed twice on this trip with a stint on Magnetic Island in between. Service on our departure stay was while not bad was marred by the gentleman who was abrupt and less than enthusiastic about being helpful. We arrived in the morning knowing we couldn’t get in until later and were greeted by a friendly and helpful reception attendant. Who said we would let us know by text as soon as a room was available for us. We took that to mean if we could enter our room before the scheduled check in time we would get a message. We never got a message. In fact we had ran out of ways to entertain ourselves and keep cool with just under an hour to check in time. So we went to the reception to assign the room was ready and were grumpily informed our room wasn’t ready and that is why we had not had a text. We understood this could be the case but the summary dismissal was far from reasonable customer service. No apology given we had patiently waited for over four hours already. We waited in the lobby and watched as others were given rooms. Why we had to wait while others did not was given no explanation and made no senseh to us. When check in time came and went is when I had to contain myself. One thing for us to be shunned for being early but for them to tell our room was not available at the time the business had committed to was very frustrating. It showed they had no system and were unprepared to provide reasonable customer service. We waited patiently and thankfully not for much longer and maintained our positive countenance. Thank goodness the room was,while only on the first floor, the better of rooms we had stayed in and worth the wait had it been managed better. If it weren’t for the grumpy reception we would have rated this trip more highly. Hopefully this business can get its cleaning process and attitude to customers of male staff improved the location value and room would be highly recommended as is a little work to do.

При заселении надо было внести депозит a$200, но у нас была только unionPay от российского банка, а с неё они не списывали, поэтому что их Австралия отключила. С большим трудом удалось уговорить взять депозит наличными. Были с дороги, уставшие, не понравилась такая встреча. Ещё из минусов: немного текла вода из холодильника и из стиралки. Стиралка один раз не высушила вещи. Но это некритично. Окна открыть можно только с помощью инструмента, толком не проветрить. Не было крючков или вешалов для полотенец, повесить их некуда. В остальном всё очень понравилось: полностью оборудованная кухня, посудомойка, стиральная машина со встроенной сушкой. Есть моющие средства на первое время. На этаже мусоропровод. Панорамное остекление с видом на мост. Хороший душ. Хорошее расположение, выход на две параллельных улицы. Ресепшн доступен по WhatsApp и оперативно там отвечал. Единственное, неплохо было бы добавить робота-пылесоса, уборка раз в неделю, а хотя бы подмести нечем.
