Was really impressed with the palace hotel. The grounds look stunning as we arrived. The hotels grand entrance was beautiful and the lady on reception was very welcoming. The decor throughout was amazing. The rooms were lovely and clean with everything you could need, coffee, tea, iron, hairdryer etc. Lovely staff couldn't do enough for us. Thanks for a lovely stay.

温泉設施相對於buxton其他兩家來説是最多的，徒步完或者goape完來泡泡，非常幸福。spa需要提前預約，還不錯，做完一定多喝水。然後因為市中心超小，所以去哪裡都很方便。住的還ok。不過早餐一般般，雖然可以點熱的早餐，但nono有的部浩遲。

Explorers Retreat Matlock Bath was a unique and fun experience! As a solo traveler, I loved the quirky cabins and the adventurous atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing great tips on local activities. The cabin was clean and cozy, perfect for a solo retreat. The location was stunning, with easy access to beautiful walks and the charming town of Matlock Bath. While the facilities were basic, the overall experience was fantastic. The place was nice and simple. Very good location near the station and not far from the city centre. Good value for money if you are looking for somewhere to stay for a few nights. Staff were pleasant.

The check in was easy and clear instructions were provided about the facilities. Clean room with comfortable bed. Unfortunately there was no WiFi in the room that I stayed in and no mobile phone coverage on Vodafone for calls or mobile data. WiFi was available in the main building which had a bar and restaurant. The price of the room was very good.

I mean the hotel was ok but The some of the staff made me feel like i was not welcome there i would not be in a hurry to stay there again and i think it was bit silly that they only accept card because i feel like they should take both in my opion.

We stayed for one night in December and really like this hotel. Our room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was very good (I recommend booking in advance, as it was busy on a Saturday night), and breakfast in the morning, also very good. We will be happy to return some time!

If you want a budget hotel this fits the bill.The room was clean bed very comfortable - extra pillows in the wardrobe and tea and coffee making facilities - Just of M1 - so if you are travelling very convenient. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked - good value. Staff were very polite and welcoming and will definitely stay again

Stayed here for one night during my Peak District trip. The hotel is very well located, right in the centre of Buxton and close to the Pavilion Gardens, bus stops, and walking routes. The room was clean, comfortable, and warm — perfect after a long day of hiking. Staff were polite and helpful, and the overall experience was smooth and hassle-free. A solid choice if you’re exploring Buxton and the Peak District using public transport.

ГГостьWe stayed for 1 night for a special occasion. On arrival we were told that the spa was closed for an event which was very disappointing as I booked this hotel because of the spa & had planned to use the pool & sauna. This should gave been communicated at the time of booking. The building and grounds were impressive but on arrival our featured superior room was freezing cold. The reception turned on the heating at our request but this should have been done hours before our arrival given that it was 8 degrees outside. We sat for an hour in the room with our coats on before asking for a portable heater due to the radiators being only lukewarm. The room never really got warm & when we came back from dinner at 9.15 the heating had been turned off again & we had to ask for it to be turned on again. The food in the restaurant was very good & the servers were lovely but unorganised. We planned to have a drink in the hotel bar but it was so cold that it was empty and not comfortable to stay. I heard kore than one staff member complain about the cold in the hotel. What could have been a very pleasant stay was spoiled by the cold. Unfortunately, we will not return.

ГГостьAn excellent short stay in this B&B situated above a tea room in the village of Bonsall.
Check-in is a small window of 2 hours between 2 and 4 pm but it does state that you can organise late check-in if you are stuck. Best to avoid the area around the Heights of Abraham when traveling in at the weekend as it gets very busy.
We were there just to check out the area for walking and it suited our needs perfectly. The owner greeted us and made sure we settled in and as a bonus, the tea room was still open to allow us to sample their delicious cakes before unpacking. We went to the Kings Head pub for dinner which is a 3-minute walk up the hill and I must say it was a good choice. Another place with great hospitality with a mix of locals and visitors but more importantly good honest grub.
Breakfast was probably one of the best we have ever had at a B&B it was plentiful and there was no compromise on quality, perfect to fuel us for another day on the hills.
Thank you for hosting us and giving us good value for money in an excellent location to explore the Peak District National Park.

ГГость無敵滿意，這是我在英國住的性價比最高的酒店，雖然是在莊園附近一樓就是餐廳吃東西也是很方便的。酒店前台也熱情晚餐味道也還不錯，酒店旁邊還有房車基地，如果從Sheffield下車坐218回經過達西莊園然後轉6.1公交七分鐘，按照導航定位的位置一定要記得繼續向前走幾分鐘過一個小橋就到了，導航不太準確。當地的公交坐着和出租車沒區別，本來打車去酒店發現Uber138磅 不划算直接坐車就OK。一路上風景特別美，也是一個不錯的旅途體驗～

ГГостьStayed here 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. Decided to stop over again this weekend and, again, just can't fault it. Great food, friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms. We use it as a place to go off and explore the wider area but always see people who are obviously there for special occasions or business.
Whatever your trip is for I cannot recommend highly enough.

ГГостьFrom the outside, the hotel makes a charming first impression with its elegant façade, ornate balconies, and a warmly lit lobby that exudes a sense of old-world charm. The check-in process is smooth, and the staff are courteous and eager to help.
The room was clean and spacious, the décor is a bit dated but it adds a character to the place and I like it. The only small issue was, there’s no window only a door to the balcony which is locked and we cannot access it making the room stuffy.
Also, it was difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep due to a noise of exhaust fan in the bathroom throughout the night.
The bed was comfortable and having an iron was a bonus.
Will I stay again? Definitely.

ГГостьAmazing Hotel. Love it. We will back there for sure!! Parking at extra COST £8 PER DAY. I'm used to free parking for customers. But when you have a Ryanair ticket and have to pay for a seat even though you can't stand, I'm no longer surprised by what money can do. 🫣 But as a Hotel 10/10 😀 Breakfest 10/10 👍
