Aparthotel Paladim & Alagoamar

We have stayed in the Apartotel on at least 10 occasions and it never lets us down. The staff are efficient and friendly. The hotel is always very clean and it is located in a great area directly between the old and new towns.

Great hotel.centrally located 4 everything. Spotlessly clean,great staff and entertainment every night,even in January.

First class hotel. Excellent service and cleanliness. Staff were exceptional especially Ana Paula!! Location is good 15 mins from Old Town and New town. The food was beautiful and well presented and plenty of choice. Happy a**osphere Would return at any time.

Honest but personal review and just my opinion. After travelling to a lot of destinations I’d have to say the room was definitely the largest we have had. Very spacious with a large balcony and a great amount of storage too. We were on the pool side but unfortunately very close to the bar area not ideal at all. The room was cleaned daily and always to a high standard. Two great sized pools which were always kept clean. Great little pool bar reasonably priced too. BBQ area at the pool bar which was not used and I think the hotel are missing a trick. Had lunch and dinner at the restaurant and food on both occasions was lovely. Staff at the hotel all friendly and polite bar one person in the bar in the evening. A fantastic location and five minutes in a taxi to the new & old town and 10 mins to the Marina all nice and cheap in a taxi. 2 supermarkets on the doorstep along with a good few places to eat all close by. Now for the negatives: 1) noise from the bar at night is ridiculous very noisy until at least 1:30am not good for families with young kids or the residents facing the hotel. 2) Staff never ask people to come inside the bar at night and close the doors this would solve the issue 3) Large group of 14 lads arrived with no consideration for other guests. Taking over the bar areas very load and disruptive when some people like a quiet drink. This is supposed to be a couple/family hotel. Staff should have intervened here and stopped ploughing them with alcohol. A lot of elderly people at the hotel so very unfair to them. I appreciate if they all booked separately but they should be spoken too and if their inconsiderate behaviour continued removed from the hotel but they were not 4) As Mentioned a few times Sun loungers. Although we never had an issue getting a bed it is frustrating how many people put out towels and then are not at the pool of go out for several hours leaving the towels 5) Noise in the hotel again ridiculous. People slamming doors, furniture dragged across the floor, shouting in corridors during the early hours 6) Decoration. The hotel while clean and tidy could do with a lick of paint in a good few locations but I appreciate this is not always possible due to being a busy resort so I don’t know what the solution is here. Overall a pleasant stay at first but due to the noise, big group of lads and other negatives raised I will not be returning nor recommend coming here. If the hotel staff had more consideration for those that don’t wish to get absolutely wasted every night then I might have a different opinion but they seem more concerned with taking money, plying people with alcohol than they do about anything else.

Second time staying at this hotel. We were located in a pool view room. Was a bit concerned re music coming from the pool area but balcony doors are pretty sound proof. The hotel is a bit dated but it is very clean and welcoming. Beds and pillows aren't particularly comfortable unfortunately. The kitchen worktop could do with plugs for the kettle and toaster. Room was serviced every other day with fresh towels provided. The lobby of the hotel was large with comfortable seating. As we had a late flight they provided a storage room to store luggage. The pool areas had toilets and showers. However shower had a translucent curtain only for privacy. The hotel also provided hair dresser and massage services. paladim has 2 swimming pools and 2 small children's pools. Loungers and parasols available at pool area. Though frustrating as guests left towels lying on loungers to reserve despite not being present for hours. Feel this could be challenged to allow other guests to have a lounger. Pool not heated and so guests can enjoy a dip to cool off. Between the 2 pools a pool bar is situated. Cocktails €8.00 and crisps €2.00. I found this expensive but they were delicious! Pools were clean. No lifeguard on duty. Had lunch twice at the hotel and the food was tasty and a fair price. Location of the hotel is very desirable. 2 minutes to the albuferia terrace which contains a large supermarket, burger king, pizza hut, taco bell, tapas, pasta, seafood and juice bar. They also had different clothing and cosmetic stores we did not visit. The hotel is within walking distance to both old and new town. Taxi €4-5 each way. Also the shuttle train operates outside a nearby hotel but we did not use, choosing to walk mostly. There are a few touristy shops around the hotel and a few restaurants as well. Across the road there is also a KFC, McDonalds and a few other options as well. We enjoyed our trip and would return to the Paladim for the convenience and reliability but modernisation is needed.

Second time staying at this hotel. Just back from our second visit as a family of 4- kids aged 11 months and 6. Great hotel for families. Very clean, towels changed every day and also bedding changed on the 4th day of your stay. Rooms are big and have everything you need. Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there but the food looked nice. There is also entertainment on every night in the hotel. 2 big pools and 2 baby pools. Pool area is very clean and plenty of sun beds. Very good location, half way between the old town and the new town (*****). 10-15 minute walk to both. There is a shopping centre beside the hotel with 2 big supermarkets and a food court inside. There is also a large pingo doce supermarket opposite the hotel. So handy! A** outside the hotel also. Everything you need right beside the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel, can’t wait to come back for a third time next year!

Great location. Shopping center with a big grocery store next to it. Another grocery Pingo Doce a block away, this one was a bit more expensive, but nice. Historic town, 1 km away.

location was great walkable to oldtown, grocery across the street , felt safe even at night .
