The location is near residential area and is peaceful and quiet. Our room and balcony faces a not very pretty lot but it didn’t matter so much as we weren’t in the room much of the day. The room was clean and the kitchen very well equipped with utensils and appliances. the sofa bed sheets had some hair which was not too pleasant. On one of the mornings, the electricity went out for 30 minutes but luckily it wasn’t too hot at that time. As it was September, the hotel was fairly quiet most of the time although the front desk told us they were fully booked. There were supermarkets nearly so it was convenient to get food and drinks, and there is a couple of very good Portuguese restaurants within walking distance.

Lovely hotel, with very friendly staff, superb grounds that are in very good condition. Good restaurant, although we were on a self catering basis. Our bedroom was lovely although a pool side room look better, street traffic can be heard from our room during night. Our only disappointment that the hotel could control was that Sauna and Steam room unavailable. Rooms are cleaned with fresh towels daily.

Brillaint Hotel, staff were all lovely and the Indoor pool was brilliant. We had room service for 2 nights of our stay and it was delicious, we had nuggets, chips, pizza , roast chicken, salad. It was a large portion and very tasty . Will definitely visit again when the outdoor pools abit warmer only thing that abit disappointing is the TV was small and it had about 3 English channels. but wouldn't need that in the summertime as much .

Cleanest Hotel ive been to in a long time, food is lovely and most staff are very nice. The toilets on the premises, in the bar, down at the pool, anywhere you go are spotless. Highly recommend if a clean hotel is a reason for choosing your hotel. Ten minute walk to the Albufeira strip.

The hotel was very nice: clean and spotless. All staff were friendly. Breakfast and dinner was a varied buffet each day with different themes e.g. Mexican, Mediterranean, Portuguese and it tasted delicious. The beach wasn't far from the hotel (only a 20 mins walk) and the hotel wasn't far from the famous 'strip' in Albufeira (10 mins walk) which had a good atmosphere with nightlife, clubs and bars. The facilities were nice as there was a big indoor and outdoor pool. The hotel also had a gym, and sauna. However, I was displeased that in the apartment, the double bed was 2 single beds put together, so they would slide apart when sleeping because they were on wheels. But overall, the stay was adequate and I would say the hotel was worth its 4 stars.

We’ve spend some lovely days at Vila Petra this Easter. There’s no doubt this is one of the best hotels we’ve visited in the Algarve. It’s beautiful and spotless. The staff is incredible and has the best entertainment team. From archery to aquaerobics in the day, to trivia nights in the evening. Mari and Java are great fun!

We stayed here mid Aug as a family of four with 2 teenagers 18 & 15 in a (very roomy) 1 bedroom apartment S/C and can honestly say had the best 10 days at this hotel! Everything from the apartment to communal areas spotlessly clean. Cleaners came everyday which is a first for us anywhere we have stayed before. Every member of staff we had contact with were friendly and approachable. Reception staff and particularly the lady who checked us in (sorry can not remember her name) was so lovely. Bar staff in the green bar are a lovely bunch of people. We ate here on a few occasions during our holiday for steak night, Mexican & barbecue night and the food was lovely and good value for money! The entertainment team were brilliant we enjoyed watching them do their thing everyday by the pool The gates to the pool are not opened until 9am so there is no getting up at the crack of dawn to reserve sunbeds even in the middle of the school summer holidays there was no sunbed wars The hotel is in a great location 5 mins walk to the top of the strip, an aldi round the corner & we would get an uber to old town that only took about 5 mins at a cost of around €4. We have never returned to a hotel before but we all agreed that this would be a first and we would definitely not hesitate to book here again. Thankyou vila petra we had a blast ☀️

We stayed for one week in Feb25. From the moment we arrived we found the staff extremely friendly and helpful, all communal areas were immaculately kept and our room was exactly as described, in excellent decorative order and kept very clean by the maids. We ate in the Xeirus Restaurant twice. The a la carte was excellent but we were slightly disappointed at the Portuguese buffet as it didn’t feel very authentically Portuguese. The wine included in the buffet price was excellent however and on both occasions the waiting staff were truly excellent; very engaging and couldn’t do enough for us (especially our granddaughter). The only downside was Albufeira itself. I have travelled to the Algarve numerous times in the last 30 years but never to Albufeira, sensing that it would be too commercialised and tacky. My instinct was right, it in no way compares to the other places I’ve visited such as Lagos, Luz, Burgau or Tavira. A couple of streets in and around Albufeira Old Town were admittedly lovely. This is clearly not the hotel’s fault however hence the 5* review. We had a great holiday nevertheless, being selective on bars/cafes/restaurants visited and using a hire car to visit some of the areas mentioned above.

This hotel is amazing. Their main assets are their staff, especially the reception team, who are the most approachable, helpful people we’ve ever experienced in a hotel. We had a problem with golf clubs being delivered and they went out of their way to help us. We spent three wonderful weeks at this hotel and would definitely return. The apartment was very comfortable with everything you needed. Absolutely spotless and cleaned every day to a high standard. In fact the whole hotel was like that. Thank you all for a wonderful break.

Vila Petra, albufeira, 20 gr ,24december, a big apartment, in the complex, for me alone:))) ,whit bath, kitchen, balcony, mmmm ,heavenly, sea birds, sun, sauna, swimming,în the valley 1km of bars and restaurant,..that is a Christmas to spend alone:)))),and far from rainy, cold, Holland,!

The best self catering hotel we have stayed at. The apartment was huge! It made our 10 day stay so comfortable we had our own space, lots of storage. The kitchen has everything you need, all bosch appliances including a dishwasher. We used it for breakfast and lunch, then went out for meals each night. The maid comes in everyday and cleans. The grounds are lovely, everything is spaced out and not busy. No rush for sunbeds there were always some available throughout the day. Some reviews mentioned strict pool rules, small balls were allowed and kids can jump in. There is no lifeguard, no inflatables which I agree with as there were so many different ages, plus there was more room. The entertainment team were excellent, my 9 year-old loved all the different sports. Indoor pool and jacuzzi gave a welcomed break from the sun. The only negative was that the soundproofing of the apartments is not great.

Booked through Jet2Holidays a week or so prior to get an absolute bargain self-catering week in Albufeira, choosing Vila Petra as the best looking option of the hotels that they offered. We certainly weren't disappointed with our choice, as from the moment one arrives this hotel is highly impressive, & I'd say up there as probably the best of the winter sun break type hotels in which we've stayed over the years. Staff are extremely polite, friendly & helpful. The level of cleanliness & maintenance of buildings, facilities & grounds is very high. Quality of guest facilities such as pools, gym, restaurants & bars is excellent. Our studio apartment (251) was roomy, very clean, had a cracking shower, & was south facing - getting the sun all day - with a view over the pool. Recommend the 'pool view' rooms in the separate block for this. Whilst the hotel is away from the seafront, 15 minutes walk down to the nearest beach, & 45 minutes walk to the old town, this meant that it was fairly quiet, whilst if wanting a bit more life, 'The Strip' is only 5 minutes walk away. We were though surprised at just how many businesses - maybe 60-70% or so - were closed, so if looking for a lot of life & choice in the way of restaurants, bars etc, then don't go in January. There was enough choice for us though for the week. So overall, it's a definite big YES for us in terms of a recommendation for Vila Petra. Thanks to all the staff, who definitely added to our experience & enjoyment.
