Chaandhni Lake View

Chaandhni Lakeview is located at the Nehru Trophy finishing point, which is right at the mouth of the Vembanad Lake. It's quite easy to reach from anywhere in Alappuzha. The Superior Rooms we stayed in, were really big in size and had all the amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. The rooms were really clean. The balcony was pretty spacious and had a nice view of the water. The staff were very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good, as well. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.

Stayed one night, 24th July, 2023. Booked SDLX rooms through MMT. It's a smallish hotel, around 20 odd rooms. Rooms are spacious, clean with good AC. Has an inhouse restaurant, but may be due to being peak off-season the kitchen wasn't full throttle, offering only a few dishes. Now I come to the most important thing about this hotel... it's location. It's right on the main backwater canal. The common veran*** on the 1st floor of the old block, looks directly on the canal way. The annual Nehru boat race starts from here. Had a pleaseant 2 hr morning boat ride. The boa**** was one ***n, a five star for him also. Got a chance to witness the practice sessions of two boat clubs. Recommend stay.

As the name suggests, this hotel is located just next to a lake and the lake and boats are visible from the balcony of the room. They have a good parking space. The check-in process was smooth. The room was very spacious,and all necessary items were available. The balcony is the main advantage and it gives a good view of the lake. They have an in-house restaurant which serves breakfast. Lunch and dinner are based on request. The swimming pool is 4ft deep. We can hire a house boat or a shikara from here itself. Overall good experience at Chaandni lake view !!

Positives are location is good , just on the bank of a lake, you can take shikara just from your room outdoor lawn area is huge , children can play and enjoy there. Negatives rooms are not spacious, ac was not working properly, bedsheet was torn.

The owner Mr. Pappachen warmly received us when we reached. We checked into our rooms by 12 : 30 noon. It was lunch time, and we were served with a traditional Onam Sadya. (The banana leaves were missing). Evening tea was served in their viewing deck overlooking the Punnamada lake boat race track where all the excitements were stored for the next day's great event. On the next day, we prepared ourselves to witness the great event called Nehru Trophy. The heats and finals started from beside our viewing deck. We had all the thrills and excitements of viewing the starting of the races . It was a magnificent experience to watch the return of all the snake boats and other racing boats to their bases from the balcony of the resort. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable place. The service was going beyond the normal interactions with guests. We felt heard and valued. We were happy to get served by Ayub and his team. They made our stay wonderful.
