Yays Amsterdam Maritime

Paid over 300€ a night, stayed there for 4 nights. Very disappointed. We booked the duplex studio. The room are so dusty that I got allergic reaction everytime I stayed at the room(sneezed, runny nose). Spider webs at the ceiling. Stains on the sofa. Mold in the bathroom(on the ceiling, on the wall). Silverfish bug crawling on the floor in the toilet(mostly because of bad ventilation in the humid bathroom). The only positive thing I have to say is that the beds are comfy, the staff is nice. We only stayed there to spend the night and didn't want to complain or switch rooms. Just want to inform you that you need to clean much better and do something with the ventilation+mold. It's not healthy to live in those conditions. It was not worth 300€/night and I was so disappointed because you got so good reviews. Would not stay here again.

Fabulous property that was perfect for our family of 5. Excellent links to the city with both trams and buses that leave from outside but there are also shortcuts into the centre on foot which makes it a manageable distance to walk. The property was clean and had everything we needed and we had a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend

Spent 4 nights here in a studio apartment with kitchenette. As we are travelling a bit so we wanted to cook meals at times. Kitchen was really well equipped with pots,pans,glasses,bowls, plates, coffee machine, kettle. Could ask for more teabags and coffee pods from downstairs. No phone in the rooms so you will need to go down to recep if you need anything. Theres a washer and dryer to use for free which is good. Staffs are really friendly and nice. Place is 10mins to city center by bus and there are supermarkets and restaurants around the area. Love this place a lot, really nice building. Organized and well equipped kitchen. Though while showering you will need to be extra careful as water will flow out but they provide a water scrapper to pull the water in,which can be rectify if install a small hump. Nice table and two chairs for dining. You will have to bring your own trash out. Housekeeping is available to a certain number of nights. We could'nt get it as we only stayed for 4 nights. You can ask for new towels, coffee pods and teabags from reception downstairs. No phone in the room.

What a great wee find . A bit of a walk from the centre 25/30 mins, but u can catch a no 22 bus across the Road . Plenty of room for the 3 of us but stairs up to bedroom not great when you need the toilet in the middle of the night as steps everywhere so my son loved it upstairs and we took the very comfy bed settee downstairs so a win win . We arrived early about 10.30am and although we were told our apt was ready we could only have it at 2pm or pay £45 euro extra to have it now .????? Why .. After being up from 2am travelling with a 12year old it would have been nice since are apt was actually ready to be allowed in to it to rest a little . I've never come across a rule like this before and we have travelled alot .

Spending 2 nights in Amsterdam with my family ( two boys 8 and 10) it was an excellent choice to stay here. All the staff was nice and helpful, room was nice, very clean, plenty of space, kitchenette also very equipped. We were happy with location also. A little bit far from center, but it wasn’t any problem to walk (about 20 min). It was enjoyable and well located. I cannot be more happy with our choice and grateful to stay here.

This is a lovely place but with a couple of caveats. We were in the duplex room, in April, and it’s coat weather outside. Inside the room was steamy hot. You wouldn’t want the windows open as there would be road noise. But my word it was hard to sleep and that’s in April, so I would steer well clear in august! Also you can hear everything around you. We got unlucky with someone above pacing in heavy shoes in the middle of the night and the room was shaking. Reception helped deal with this eventually calling security. I am really grateful to them for that. Staff lovely and super helpful. Room well equipped but more for light meals than full self catering. There is no oven or toaster, just hob and microwave. No problem but to be aware of. Location I liked. Very easy to get anywhere with bus outside and tram around the corner. Albert Heign supermarkets right there as well. Pizza Vagabond up the road was Best Pizza Ever and the veggie buffet place would have been a dream for us. Kids less keen! All in all a good convenient stay, with some nice touches but def not one for a hot summer night!

I went to Amsterdam for a combination of family visit and time on my own. I wanted to be able to eat in sometimes. My room was beautiful and totally fulfilled all my needs. The location was very good. The most important part was the people who worked at the desk. Each and every one was incredibly friendly and helpful . I have traveled to all parts of the world and stayed at innumerable hotels. Yays maritime employees out*****ped all others by far. I will definitely stay there when I go to Amsterdam in the future.

I thought out stay at yays maritime was fantastic from start to finish. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and views of the canal are beautiful. We came with 3 kids and found the hotel and area very safe and quiet. The beds were the best ones I have slept in in Amsterdam, soo comfortable! The area is quiet with not alot going on but there are some restaurants, bars, coffee shops, brewery, and a market within 5mins walk. Also a great park close for kids There is a bus stop right outside which takes you right to outside central station and back within 10mins or a 25min walk. I don't have anything bad to say about this place as it ticked every box!

This spot was very nice as we wanted something quiet but in the city center. I picked it because it had a view of the canal. We loved that it had a kitchen so we could have coffee and breakfast before venturing out. The bus was minutes away. Highly recommend they offer bike rentals too.
