Hotel Molendal

The service at Hotel Molendal was highly unsatisfactory. We were sold something different from what we received, and the actual experience did not justify the price of 142€ per night. The presence of ongoing construction work right outside our window, undisclosed until check-in, significantly impacted our privacy and peace. In the morning, we were unpleasantly awakened at 8 am by the noise of construction work and the workers' radio, further diminishing our peace and privacy. The worker's direct view into our room added to the overall discomfort (see photos). The crucial information about the construction work, which affected our comfort, was hidden in an automated booking confirmation email sent in Dutch, a language we couldn't understand as non-locals. Despite our efforts to express dissatisfaction and request a discount, both directly with the property and through *********** customer service, the property refused to compensate us for the inconveniences faced. 142€ is a substantial amount, making our planned vacation at Hotel Molendal a rare and special occasion for us. The rooms, advertised as luxurious and comfortable, failed to deliver the expected relaxing and beautiful experience. This experience not only marked the worst customer service I've encountered in years but also ironically stands as the most expensive stay I've ever booked. For a property in this price class, prioritizing customer satisfaction should be paramount. Instead, we left feeling cheated, ripped off, and profoundly disappointed. I cannot recommend this property and advise those seeking a pleasant experience to choose an alternative.

This hotel was just so lovely, from the time we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with all the facilities you would need, mini bar, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, bathroom products. The hotel itself dates back to early 1900's but the decor and detail are still fresh today and beautifully preserved. It is within walking distance to the central train station, bus station and town centre and all the lovely restaurants. The breakfast is continental but with lots of choice and plenty of it. On the few occasions we had to leave early they made a packed breakfast for us which always included a lovely hand written note. I cannot praise the staff and this hotel enough and would certainly visit again. Special mention to Brent who went above and beyond for us, he just brightened up our day whenever we saw him.

Wir hatten ein " Deluxe-Zimmer"....das ist schon fast Betrug....wir haben 162,-€ bezahlt und dies bekommen (siehe Foto's)...unser nächster Besuch in den Niederlanden wird uns garantiert wieder in ein Hotel der Fam.Van der Valk führen...dies Hotel Molendal sollte man nicht empfehlen.Katastrophal!!! Für diesen Preis.

Het buitenaanzicht van het hotel Molendal is een plaatje. Bij binnenkomst werden zeer welkom geheten door de dame achter de receptie, ik voelde me zeer gewenst. Vol verwondering aanschouwde ik de begaande vloer welke warmte en een luxe huiselijke sfeer uitstraalde. Onze kamer was op de bovenste 4 verdieping, helaas was er geen lift. Eenmaal bovengekomen betraden we onze kamer, en vol bewondering deden wij een ronde. De kamer straalde zoals het hele hotel Molendal een luxe huislijke sfeer uit. Qua hygiëne krijgt de gehele accommodatie van mij een cijfer 10. Mijn complimenten voor de staff je voelt je gewenst zijn zeer vriendelijk en voeren Hospitality op het hoogste niveau uit. Parkeerplaatsen ( betaald ) zijn er ruimschoots en op loopafstand aanwezig. Het centrum van Arnhem is op 5 min van het hotel Molendal. Het verblijf in hotel Molendal krijgt van mij een cijfer 10 + TheJff Jansen Eyken Sluyters.

Das Hotel bietet eine kleine Zeitreise. Hier ist bis ins Detail alles wie vor ca. 100 Jahren. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und gemütlich. Das Frühstück war mit viel Liebe zubereitet und im Wintergarten war es eine Freude, dies einzunehmen. Das einzige Mank ist die Treppe, die bis in den 3.Stock reicht. Für Gäste mit einer körperlichen Einschränkung nur bedingt zu empfehlen.

Mooi en sfeervol hotel. Parkeren kan voor de deur en via het hotel voor €15 per dag. Er zijn drie etages en er is geen lift. Wij hadden drie kamers via Booking gereserveerd en die waren allemaal op een andere verdieping. Wij zagen niet heel veel verschil in de oppervlakte van de kamers. Je kunt lopend naar het centrum dus ideaal om de stad te verkennen. Ook op loopafstand van het park. Ontbijt kost €10 pp en is in buffetvorm in de serre. Niet heel uitgebreid maar wel waar voor je geld. Het ontbijt moet in shifts omdat de ruimte te klein is om alle gasten tegelijk te laten ontbijten. De ontvangst was wel vriendelijk maar een beetje “pietluttig” en “onrustig” (probeer niet langs een bepaalde deur naar buiten te gaan, fruit bij het ontbijt niet in een bak maar kleine afgepaste glaasjes, meteen een opmerking als je achter de wc deur kijkt). Aanrader voor een stadsbezoek.
