Penida Green Palm Cottage

This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst places we have ever stayed. We had a non-refundable booking for five nights, but after the second night we simply packed our things and left, even though it meant losing the money — that’s how unbearable it was. I honestly cannot understand how this property has any good reviews at all. The noise was insane. On the first night, neighbors were screaming endlessly. On the second night, at midnight, their child was literally bouncing a ball on the floor. When we complained, the owner’s solution was to bring us earplugs and tell us we could use them — instead of addressing the unacceptable situation. That was shocking. A responsible manager would have told the family to stop playing ball at midnight. The facilities were awful. The room smelled of mold, the towels were dirty and left outside for days after we asked for replacements, and the property was never properly cleaned. There was a constant smell of greasy food from the kitchen, with old food scraps lying around. Breakfast was included, but after trying it once, we couldn’t eat it again — it was just too bad. On top of that, the location is surrounded by constant noise — loud mosque calls, school nearby, roosters, and of course the endlessly noisy neighbors. Nothing about this place was peaceful or relaxing. I would not recommend this place to anyone under any circumstances. Unless you are used to living in a dump, there is no way you could enjoy this property. Save yourself the disappointment and book literally anywhere else.

The place small and simple but the room good big enough for both us. It’s a very peaceful place to be relax here.
