The restored two storey cottage is situated in a very private position, surrounded by woodland and with wonderful views particularly of Celle di Puccini, the village where Puccini was raised. 5 Minutes from shops and restaurants, less than half an hour from Lucca. Originally constructed in 1738 the cottage retains the atmosphere of a typical Tuscan farmhouse. Equipped with many modern appliances and features to ensure it is comfortable in both winter and summer alike. On the ground floor is a spacious open plan kitchen/dining room. Gas central heating has recently been put in. The living room is centered around a working fireplace and includes a sofa bed, TV, DVD and satellite. The first floor contains two good sized bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a double bed, both with stunning views. There is a landing/sitting area.The cottage sits in an area rich in historic and cultural interest, approximately 15 kms north of the ancient walled city of Lucca. Whilst retaining all the elements of its age and history one finds sophisticated shops and restaurants.
