The kitchen contains all the basics, and there is a washer and dryer available for use. The walk in shower and working elevator create a fully accessible space for handicapped individuals. The apartment is located next door to the birthplace of Pepsi, where you can enjoy an ice cold Pepsi while touring the small museum. High quality bars and restaurants line the streets, as well as small stores with unique gifts and souvenirs. Down the road, you can learn all about New Bern’s history in Tryon Palace and Union Park. This unique historic home was originally a dependency to the grand Coor-Bishop House located a half block away, where President James Monroe stayed in 1819 while touring the South.The home contains two large bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and new King beds with new mattresses. One King bed can be converted to two Twin XLs upon request. The house is newly updated with fresh paint, new furniture, luxury linens and amenities and a new gas range in the well-appointed kitchen.Walk to the riverfront, Tryon Palace and historic downtown and its many restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries. Relax on the screen porch. Cruise or kayak the Neuse and Trent Rivers. Take a short 45-minute drive to Beaufort, Oriental, and the beautiful Crystal Coast beaches. Sorry, but no children under 8 years of age.
