Brean Sands Holiday Park

I am appalled. I am so thankful that this place has now been permanently closed. When I found out the news that this place had been shut down for good, I was elated. When I last went to this place, we booked a weekend stay, however, even 2 days was too much for us to handle. We first entered our room to find an old sock in the microwave. On top of that, we had a double bed and a bunk bed. The double bed was stained and the bunk bed wasn't built properly and it ended up collapsing on top of me, which ended up causing me injuries. I have tried to think past that but I am still shocked with how long this place lasted for. Never again will I ever book with Pontins. No matter how many times they may apologise for their services. I am so glad this place has shut down now as its a risk towards life. DON'T BOOK WITH PONTINS!!!

This was the worst holiday i have ever been on. I took my 3yr old daughter and family to Pontins for a few nights as a fun getaway but in result of me trying to be a nice and caring mother it turned into a... total disaster. We were there for around 2 days prior before the nigh**are. My daughter woke up with lice and a ear infection. We thought she would be fine but the next morning she had a sickness bug and tonsillitis. I was furious. We have never returned to this hell hold ever again. It's disgusting. The staff are rude, the food tastes raw, the room management is absolutely diabolical!! Never take your children here!xx

We always go here and always have a great time the rooms are clean and the staff are lovely especially Ann on reception I would advise anyone to go here well done Pontins from mrs chew x x x x x x x x x x x x x x

Me and my family wanted to go for a holiday somewhere for a couple of days, so we stupidly chose Pontins. I came here with my partner and three kids, one of which included a baby. It was hell there. Where do I even begin? The staff were rude, and some looked like they hadn't slept in days. It took an hour to get our key to the chalet, and when we got in, we was disgusted. The floor was dirty and had crumbs all over it. There was mold on the ceiling, there was poo smeared on the windows and wall, and there was bird poo in the windows. The sleeping situation was awful. We went into one of the bedrooms to find that there was blood on one of the mattresses. I get that someone who had been there previously must have been on their period and bled on the mattress, or someone could have gotten injured, but is it really that hard just to change the mattres? Since there was only one bedroom, me, my partner and baby had to squeeze onto the couch while our other two kids shared a bedroom. It was a nigh**are trying to sleep. For some reason, parents think it's acceptable to let their kids run around causing chaos at two in the morning. We could hear arguments, dogs barking, partying, babies crying and loud music. We even heard someone setting off fireworks! My kids were terrified. When it came to cutlery, there was only knives, so we had to go out and buy spoons and forks ourselves. The lights didn't work and would only stay on, so we had to sleep with bright light hurting our eyes the entire two days we were there. The taps for the bath didn't work so we only had cold water. There was flies EVERYWHERE. In the living room, in the bedroom, in the bathroom...The entire chalet smelled like alcohol and smoke, we actually had to use an air freshener just so we didn't have to smell it. We asked someone to come and clean the chalet, and so they did, but they must have spent about five minutes everywhere as we could barely see a difference. It was still dirty when we came back. What did they do, spray a few times and call it a day? We was so glad to leave this hellhole. Even a garbage dump is cleaner than this. Never coming back.

My name is Ben turd and I am absolutely disgusted with this place! Accommodation absolutely filthy and vile! Staff should be put down and to top it all off,my goldfish Margret dies in the swimming pool due to too much chlorine...never coming back,and my name is Ben turd.

Oh my gosh. That is literally the most disgusting place I’ve ever seen. I pray that you did not stay in that place because that place is covered in black mound and life threatening fungus. I hope you are not having health issues

Absolutely disgusting accommodation. Advertised as suitable for family accommodation while my husband is working at Hinkley. Not being from the area I didn't even know it was a Pontins, just expected a basic apar**ent/chalet suitable to stay for a few weeks with my baby to have some quality time together. No privacy whatsoever due to sliding doors, only option is to have everyone look in on you or close the mouldy, filthy curtains to leave a dark and depressing tiny room. The accommodation was extremely dated, mould on the ceiling and windows. The sofas look like the only thing updated in this century but they were covered in *****...as was the bath. The dining chairs and flooring were ripped. The bedroom door didn't even open enough to walk in without hitting the bed. I went to reception to ask for a sheet to use to cover the disgusting sofa and was told no. Unfortunately my poor husband had no choice other than to stay there the night for work tomorrow but myself and my baby had no choice other than to leave and drive home to Wales late in the evening! It was honestly too disgusting to allow her to sleep in it. It did not feel safe in the slightest.

The place is tired and if you love smoking then this holiday destination is for you! The whole place including the rooms smell like a dirty ash tray. Breakfast food was good tbh but you get the sense that one wrong look or word and the place will erupt like a prison riot. The room wasn't that bad as we didn't spend much time in there but it was acceptable but it could of done with an update. I just couldn't get away from the smell of smoke and ****, you couldn't get away from it unless you left the site altogether.. We checked out and then realised my son left his iPad under his pillow, we went back to the room but cleaning staff had been in there but no one had seen it or come across it, Hmmm! Would I go back? Never! I imagine that this place will be so run down that it will end up being a housing site because it can't keep trading as it is giving such a bad service. Book yourself into a council dump with a tent, it will be better I promise you.. Stay at your own peril.

Left early after one day, was the worst place I've ever stayed. Sleeping bags we used for the kids went mouldy after visiting here and all our clothes smelt of damp. Just awful place and the park was unsafe, food terrible and facilities are poor.
