Brae Loch Inn

Great little Inn with a wonderful restaurant with complimentary continental breakfast with stay. Both were delicious! Room was nice and large with a wonderful fireplace and window seat. (Room 12) Staff was very nice and informative. The speakeasy in the basement was really nice with a bar, fireplaces and a pool table. Cocktails were excellent. Ask about the ghost tours so much fun and curiosity.

Terry will meet you at the door, and you won't find a better person anywhere. He is very attentive and has a good knowledge of Scotch. All of the other staff is wonderful as well. The food is as good as any and better than most. That's saying something coming from me. I usually only eat at 4 and 5 star restaurants and a few Michelin star restaurants all over the States. The default statement about the pillows is true. I've not found puffier ones anywhere. That is not a good thing for a back sleeper or belly sleeper. They are a little too big even for side sleeper. That is the only complaint I can make though. The other customers were fun to talk to, and the decor was pretty authentic. All of the staff is wonderful as well.

I took my wife to the Brae Loch Inn for her birthday weekend. As always, our stay was excellent! The hospitality is always top notch. Our room was beautifully decorated, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was of a good size, and everything was clean and neat. We had plenty of linens and pillows. The food that the inn serves in its restaurant is delicious. We ate dinner there both nights of our stay, and we went back to our room very full both nights. I recommend the steak and my wife adored the lamb gnocchi Bolognese. Our server was different each night, but both were very friendly and attentive. The gentleman who showed us to our table both nights was very kind and made us both feel immediately welcome. It's an excellent place to stay, and the town of Cazenovia is wonderful for taking a walk around to check out the little shops that line the main street. We will be back to the Brae Loch Inn soon!

The room was just beautiful! We so enjoyed it. Love that we were offered a wee dram of scotch on arrival. So delightful! The food was amazing as was the entertainment the night that we were there. We enjoyed having our tea and coffee the next morning in front of the fire. Don't miss your chance to stay at this very lovely inn!

You don't have to be Scottish, or know anything about Scotland at all for that matter, to have a wonderful experience at the Brae Loch Inn. The food is top-notch, the a**osphere is warm and inviting, it's a great place to relax. The history and the connection to Scotland are fascinating. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and well trained. We attended the Robert Burns celebration this past weekend, now that was beyond amazing. The Brae Loch Inn, a singular place in the universe, truly unique.

Great place to stay. Cozy a**osphere, great food. Enjoyed our room and our dinner at the restaurant down below. Spent the weekend visiting antique stores and local breweries and wineries. Room was clean and spacious, and staff was courteous and welcoming. we will definitely be back again.

Our favorite CNY escape! While planning our visit for Cazenovia Winterfest, choosing the Brae Loch for our lodging needs was a no brainer. The vintage feel of the rooms mixed with the comfort of TemperPedic mattresses makes the rest as enjoyable as the wonderful bar and restaurant. I highly recommend visiting for yourselves, especially if you are looking for a central location to the lake and village. The Barr clan, are gracious hosts with an amazing staff of professionals.

We had a wonderful stay. We brought our dogs with us. We enjoyed our dinner in the pub. I had fish and chips my husband had prime rib. Enjoyed our stay so much we booked another stay before we left. Breakfast had a treat selection and a good variety.

The rooms are spacious but dark. So dark it is hard to read. I didn't think I'd need a head lamp at an Inn. If they would change the paint on the walls to a lighter color and add better lighting this place would be better. Probably won't come back ever.
