As you enter the front door you will be amazed at the massive space inside. To your immediate left are stairs leading up, a hall way in front of you with an open spacious newly remodeled kitchen, dining room with walls of windows and natural light, an open grand living room with gorgeous vaulted natural tongue and groove ceiling and stone wood burning fireplace, large screen tv and ample seating. This main floor also has 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. The King Bedroom has a full ensuite bathroom, sitting area, & large screen tv. Upstairs you will find two additional bedrooms, one with a King size bed, and an all age bunk room, with triple bunk bed, single bed and queen size bed, along with a wide open loft, with a full size bed. This floor also features a full bathroom with shower/tub combo, a half bathroom that adjoins the loft, a designated office desk space, a gym area with a Peloton Exercise Bike, Free Weights, & Yoga mat, along with wide open shelves housing a library of books for all ages, assorted games & puzzles. This floor is 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, plus the loft space and can sleep 10 it is spacious and has all been newly styled and remodeled. Downstairs to the bottom floor you will enter another family room with large screen tv, air hockey table, PacMan arcade game, wine fridge, ice maker and comfortable sectional that has room for everyone. This floor also has two bedrooms, a full spacious bathroom w/oversize shower, and laundry room. This cozy, park model cabin is nestled on Buck Creek Mountain right on a gorgeous creek. The rushing water of the creek, rock waterfalls, and lush mountainous terrain is an amazing getaway and is exactly what you'd want and look for with any mountain getaway to unwind, relax, and renew.When leaving the cabin if you turn left and go down Buck Creek Road, you are just 7 miles to Franklin. Take a right out of the cabin going up Buck Creek Road and you will be in Cashiers or the Highlands. All three of these desirable towns are just a short drive. You can also drive the scenic Cullasaja River Gorge to get to Cashiers and Highlands as well. Along the way be sure to stop at the Cullasaja Falls, Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Glenville Lake. Other nearby attractions include gem mining at Jackson Hole, antiquing at the nearby Whistle Stop, and each town has shops and dining which you won't want to miss. There are plenty of attractions, restaurants, and local festivals/events in nearby Franklin and Highlands. Google the Discover Franklin, NC tourism, and Macon County Chamber of Commerce websites for attractions and festival/event schedules. There is a gas grill on the deck for grilling, gas fire pit, and an outside dining set with 4 chairs to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains and busy creek. No matter where you are in this cabin the rushing sounds of the creek can be heard and opening the windows allows you to enjoy the mountain air and the rushing creek to its fullest. The internet offers wireless wifi anywhere in the cabin. Most cellular service works in the cabin but may be spotty at times and we walk out to the driveway and our phone calls work perfectly. The TV is set up with Roku TV or you can access any other service it offers if you have an account (just be sure to log out when you are done). The DVD player in the living room allows you to watch any DVD you wish located in the fireplace entertainment center (both sides-packed with DVD's). Please return them where you found them. IMPORTANT: The driveway to get to the cabin is a little steep but is paved with asphalt so you should be fine coming and going (just go slow and you will be fine). You may need to use the leaf blower on the driveway and deck during the months of October and November. Welcome to Sunrise Mountain Cabin! Our rustic log cabin is nestled on a mountainside high among the trees. It is private and secluded but only minutes to shopping, restaurants and activities. Quaint and comfortable, the newly furnished living room is the perfect place to cozy up with a book or movie. Choose from a selection of books and dvds or log into your streaming app on the wi-fi tv. The adjacent reading room (sunroom) has an extra twin sized bed, great for an afternoon nap or extra guest. Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The deck is a great place to relax any time of day. Enjoy morning coffee high in the trees surrounded by distant mountain ranges or grill out as the stars appear overhead. There is a half bath downstairs and a game closet with board and card games for all ages. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs to sleep 4 guests; and the sunroom on the main level has a day bed that sleeps one more for a total of 5 guests. The master bedroom with queen bed has a tv equipped with Roku. The second bedroom is furnished with a full sized bed. The full bath upstairs features a walk in shower with excellent water pressure - such a relief after a day trip! Please note, we are on a mountainside, the last part of the driveway is gravel and steep but a 4 wheel drive is not necessary.
