Chalet Hôtel Hermitage Chamonix

Our second stay at this hotel. Tucked away a short stroll from Chamonix centre. We used the saunas. They were good. The breakfast is plentiful. Everything you could wish for. The lovely lady serving breakfast was very helpful and courteous to all the guests. The bar service in the evening was a bit slow but that was ok because it has very pleasant sitting by the fire. It seems most people eat out in the evenings. We stayed 5 nights.We would stay again.

This hotel is divine and very mountain chic , position is good, bedrooms lovely and having shutters a bonus, bathrooms beautiful and separate loo. Comfy bed. Staff are lovely apart from the man who works in the afternoon who is unhelpful and disinterested. He just asumes because you have a very well explained book that he doesn’t need to do anything. That aside this is a great place

I stayed at this fantastic hotel with my partner for a 4 night ski holiday. The hotel itself is beautiful with a authentic french feel, we had a privilege room which was lovely, spacious but cosy and a huge balcony with a view of the mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was brilliant with a buffet of pastries, fruit, fresh juices and more. Coffee was one of the nicest I have had! Cakes in the afternoon is a great touch. The outside area with the jacuzzi and saunas is a highlight, one of the best spa type experience we have had! Options of different saunas, and a jacuzzi which you can book as a private slot. Perfect location to walk into the town in 5 -10 mins. For skiing loads of lifts nearby (I recommend hiring a car as the buses are very busy so difficult to get on) Loved all the attention to detail in the interior and decorations around the hotel. Would love to return- thank you!

Love this chalet, the room was super clean and great views of the mountains. Thank you Fredricko Emily and all the staff. The 100! Plus year old chalet that has been family owned is one of the best experiences I’ve had. The garden was so nice and relaxing with sauna and more, also my favorite it’s not in the tourist trap and only a 9 min walk to town.

Very negative experience with the management of the hotel, who promised a refund on the deposit after it was sent another client on my behalf and decided to keep the deposit anyways. The minimum stay of three nights applies not to everyone but they decide who gets the privilege. I am a traveller that normally stays in 4 or 5 hotels and i m used to deal with people that maintain the word given and create a great customer experience. I strongly discourage traveller used to be treated at high standards to stay in this hotel

An elegant hotel in the heart of the nature, with calm intimacy, local bio kitchen and a luxorious wellness. The hotel proposes a breath taking Alpine garden with sauna with the view to the Mont Blanc, a private jacuzzi with champaige, kind and polite staff, actually all what you need for a calm, classy and rejuvenating holiday.

We stayed in Chamonix and this hotel for one night and loved it. Great staff and atmosphere, lovely rooms, and the garden is exceptional. Take a cocktail and relax out on the deck chairs or check the multiple available saunas. Just go for it!

We loved Chamonix---the Hermitage and it's Alpine Garden played a huge part. Our views from room 104 were supurb and one could position oneself anywhere on their grounds for a photo worth framing. Would also like to see what magic is evoked in the winter, too. We'll just have to come back. :) Oh! Can't forget the friendly and conscientious staff---many thanks!

A cosy, small lovingly kept hotel nestled in a quiet area of the center of Chamonix, not far from the sport center, the train station for trains to St. Gervais and Montenvers, and the Alpina center (between 5 and 10 minutes on foot to each in the winter). Welcoming feeling throughout. Rooms nicely furnished chalet style (coffee and tea would go very well with the kettle supplied), although quite adjacent to each other. Lots of very nice nooks and crannies in the public area, equipped with games, books and memorabilia. Staff stellar everywhere - reception, dining room, cleaning. Doggie which melts your heart with his morning apparitions. Nice breakfast although as mentioned by others, a bit more items could be added included in the basic price. Spellbinding views even from the first floor. We spent some very happy hours in the hotel, and are looking forward to a return visit ASAP.
