Alors l’hôtel très bien, seul hic la réservation, j’ai réservé avec trip avec jacuzzi privé, et arrivé sur place à l’hôtel il avait pas de réservation avec jacuzzi mais chambre basique uniquement. J’ai vu la réservation a l’hôtel donc l’erreur viens de trip. Il m’ont remboursé que 293 euros alors que les chambres sans jacuzzi était au moins de 500 euros de moins.. Vraiment déçu, je ne pense pas re réservé sur trip. Mais l’hôtel était formidable!!

Day 6, first time in Crete as a 40plus couple. I was a little hesitant as thought only for young rich and beautiful, but the vibe is super chill and relaxed . The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much and the hotel is beautiful. We walked to the beach and the little villages locally, so quaint and pretty. The food is the best I’ve had at an all inclusive. Our room was on the small side but beautiful view. Some cocktails are not made from scratch which is the only minor observation

We’ve just returned from a 5 night stay at Stella island and to be perfectly honest it was really disappointing!! Good bits - it’s aesthetically pleasing, very clean and the staff around the pool are really attentive. The shampoo/shower gel/conditioner in the rooms are really nice touches. Bad points - the food is very samey day in/night out, if you’re a fussy eater you may struggle! Drinks are really disappointing, they are very very slow at bringing them and when you go to the bar they tell you to go back to your seat. It’s not unusual to wait 30mims plus for a drink, I think this is because they don’t want merry people walking around the place. It’s in the middle of nowhere amongst derelict land and you really can’t walk anywhere to do anything. We got a taxi in to hersonissos to go for tea one evening €15 per way. If you like a change of scenery then this probably isn’t the best place for you. It’s right under a flight path which didn’t bother us but some people may find low flying aeroplanes every 15/20 mins during the day annoying. The constant selfie taking by people there does become rather annoying at times especially when your trying to relax and there on every walk way, leaning against every palm tree/wall/water fountain/sun bed there in the pools taking pics/videos. We stayed in a pool view room and it was very standard nothing special at all!! All in all it was a relaxing place but massively overpriced, £3k for a 5 night stay with hardly any drinks and rubbish food is ridiculous. Would I recommend this place…….. absolutely NOT Will we be returning ………. Absolutely NOT Would rather spend my money on other hotels we’ve visited that are far nicer and cheaper 👌

Me and the wife came here for my wifes suprise 40th birthday The hotel is amazing The food is out of this world The staff are first class We had a swim up room 327 Got the sun at around 12pm Such a nice place to relax and enjoy luxury If you want a great time away with your partner this is the place to come

An absolutely incredible hotel. We cannot recommend it highly enough. The food was incredible (even for pescatarians), the staff were lovely, the rooms and services were immaculate. We went for our honeymoon and we are already looking to go back next year.

My Husband and I stayed here just last week for our belated Honeymoon. We booked for 7 nights on an all-inclusive package. I was, in all honesty, expecting to be a little let down and for the place to be covered with social media "influencers." Thankfully, Stella Island surpassed even my wildest expectations! Despite being very full of people, it was pleasantly spread out and managed and we were able to get all our photos, at all the 'instagram spots' without having loads of people in the background! Upon arrival we were greeted by the loveliest reception staff, who were so attentive and explained everything to us in detail, as well as bringing us a gorgeous welcome drink each. We arrived late on the Tuesday night so we just missed the last restaurant/buffet sittings and the lovely member of staff informed us that some cold dishes had been left in our room and we could order room service (included with all-inclusive up to 11pm) and the usual tray/service charge of €8 would be waived for us. Our room was stunning, amazing location super close to the reception and Kimata Buffet restaurant! We did have a few nights where ants got in under the door (despite being on the upper floor) but it wasn't a big deal for us! The air conditioning was a dream, kept the whole room cool all night. Every single day was like a dream, there's too much to go into detail on but we spent a lot of our days lounging around the pool our room, close to the Cabana bar and the guys who come around to take/deliver drink orders were just so brilliant - specific mention to Kostas/Konstantinos, a seriously lovely young guy who was so personable and friendly - it was only his second season working there but he is an absolute credit to Stella Island! I'd also like to give credit to Giannis & June who were also lovely lads, very friendly and attentive the whole time! We had lunch in all of the different restaurants that offer it and were never disappointed! When staying 7 nights on all-inclusive you get 1 night at each of the A La Carte restaurants (5) and the other nights are in the buffet. Every meal was amazing, honestly could not fault a single one and would find it very hard to pick a favourite!! Something to be aware of; there is a lot of fish on every menu and these are 5-star worthy restaurants so you won't find many 'basic' dinner options here - the only place that had more options was the Buffet. Staff in every restaurant were incredible, so friendly and attentive. The only slight downfall I can possibly mention was in La Parilla, while the food was absolutely incredible, the service was extremely slow the night we went. Clearly we weren't in any rush, and I have to add we never felt rushed in any restaurant, but we were there for an hour and a half, and at times there were couples coming in after us getting served their meals before us. It didn't dampen our experience just worth mentioning as if we hadn't had an early booking we would have missed the start of the n

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are amazing - everyone from the maintenance, gardeners to housekeeping and waiters/bar staff. They all work really hard. The food is very good and is a stand out part of the hotel. Some of the best I have ever had at an all inclusive. Like previous reviewers have mentioned, I’m not sure where people who complained about the food have been before - but I’d be interested to know. It’s very much on par (and in some cases exceeds) other ultra all inclusives I have stayed in across the world. The al a carte restaurants are all top standard and didn’t have any issue booking them via the app - we did that as soon as we arrived. Didn’t have one bad meal from there or the buffet. The buffet is smaller than people are possibly used to and do not have 10 different cuisines on at once - but what they do is all good quality and they have ‘al a carte’ dishes every day to choose from which are cooked in front of you - ie lamb/seafood. It’s a quiet/relaxed vibe - so if you are looking for a party hotel then it’s probably not the place for you. There is entertainment every night at the Mexican bar/restaurant and usually a DJ/piano at Cabana. We walked down the beach behind the resort one night and there are various bar/tavernas 5/10 min walk away into the village. The beach behind is very rocky but if you walk a bit further along there are usual sandy beaches there. Like others have said - if you have a swim up room or bungalow you may only get the sun part of the day. Worth checking this and requesting a certain room before you arrive. We got the sun on our terrace in the morning but not the afternoon. To be honest it didn’t bother us as there are that many beautiful places to sit out around the resort and we never had any issue getting cabanas or beds wherever we wanted at whatever time. Specific shout out to Kostas at the main pool/Cabana. He works so hard and remembers everyone. Also guest relations are amazing - if you have any issues at all- go and speak to them, they really do try their best to make everything perfect for you. My (minor) complaints are that the AI inclusive drinks finish at 11pm (all drinks after 11 are charged) however, the entertainment can go on until 12, so it would be nice to offer AI until midnight. Also the only beer options on AI are a local draft beer and Heineken zero. Any cider/IPA or international beer options are charged extra. I would expect these to be included in a AI of this level. I would still recommend AI over the half board option though. Overall, it’s a gorgeous place and would love to return in the future.

My partner and myself have arrived back from Stella Island today and one word sums Stella Island up and it is WOW. The food is amazing whether you like A La Cart dinning or burgers and chips they cater for all. We stayed in an Overwater Bungalow over looking the Cabana Bar which we felt was the best position for us. Our first night we stayed in the Overwater Bungalow by the La Parrilla restaurant but you only get the sun in the morning which did not suit us as we love to sunbath all day. Reception was fantastic as they arranged a new room for us with the sun on the decking all day. The staff are so friendly everywhere you go, our mini fridge was restocked everyday without fail and they do not stipulate how much you can have. Bottled water is everywhere and you can help yourself when you need it. We want to say thank you so much to Maria at the Cabana bar, she was always there making sure we had everything we needed and always did it with a smile. Georgio at Makuti was amazing as well he could not help you enough, if we could have mentioned all the staff that helped us we would but sorry we did not get all your names but you were great. The whole experience as package was unbelievable and I would say is the best all inclusive in Europe. It was difficult to see how others could have a bad experience. We will be going back.
