Galaxy Villas

A basic yet functional hotel, we booked a cheap deal so was not disappointed. The whole place is in need of some TLC and the rooms would benefit from a few mod cons but must say were very clean and were cleaned every day and fresh towels also daily. The staff were great and aways helpful. One word of caution there are lots of steps to the vast majority of the villas so if you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. Only had one evening meal and one breakfast in the hotel the evening meal was good the breakfast was basic for the €10 price. The Galaxy is well located for the village of koutouloufari which is an amazing place.

….just back from an excellent stay here…and it gets 10/10 from me…great location…clean…good value for money..friendly and helpful staff…good breakfasts…the view across to the sea is splendid..and the individual villas give a feel of privacy …would definitely return.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at Galaxy Villas, we both had a really enjoyable and memorable stay, we'll definitely visit again. We first visited Koutoulaufari in September 2023 and fell in love with such a beautiful, authentic Greek village. We decided to stay at Galaxy Villas and we weren't disappointed, our villa was a sea view, so quiet and quintessential Greek. Our stay was for 5 nights to celebrate my Husband's birthday. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Thank you once again!!

Lovely villas, very friendly staff and nice setting. A lot of steps which didn’t bother us but could be a problem for others. Normally plenty of sun beds. Nice clean villa. Plenty local bars and restaurants and a 15 min walk down to beach and lots of bars. Already planning on going back. And thanks to the lovely lifeguard who helped when I cut my toe.

This is our 5th stay at Galaxy Villas. We return because the: • views are stunning • rooms are spotless • staff are so helpful, friendly and entertaining • pool is my favourite pool out of any resort I’ve stayed in • food is lovely • the vibe is so relaxed We come as a family of 3 and consider koutouloufari the most stunning village with beautiful streets, shops and restaurants. Thank you for always providing a perfect holiday for us.

Just spent a week here and had a nice time. The cons - From checking in at reception to our villa it was a bit of a trek with lots of stairs especially with luggage. Upon arrival at the villa (we arrived late at night) the room felt quite dark and dingy and not as advertised, didn’t feel dirty but didn’t feel overly clean - we were also greeted with a huge cockroach in the bedroom. You operate the hot water through a breaker box which you need to switch on 10 mins before getting in shower, however even with doing this the water was luke warm at best and lasted this temperature for about 5 minutes. Two single beds in the main bedroom which the hardest mattress I’ve ever slept on in my whole life. Air con is paid separately and is €8 a night. The pros - Lovely, friendly staff especially at pool bar. Pool is nice and quiet and although quite small, we always got a sunlounger and is very chilled out. Lovely gardens surrounding the hotel and views from pool area. Food and drink really well priced and really tasty. The balcony in the villa are really nice to sit and chill after a day at the pool. Koutouloufari is only a couple minutes walk away and Hersonissos is about a 20 minute walk. The bakery across the road is amazing! Overall, a very pleasant stay in a lovely location.

We've been to koutouloufari many times but this was our first stay at Galaxy Villas. Its an old hotel with lots of steps l, but set in on the side of a mountain, I would expect nothing less. I 100% would stay here again. We was in room 28, big spacious and cool throughout the day even without the aircon on. You do need to get up early to secure a space by the pool, but for us, that wasn't a problem. The staff are just amazing. Sophia, Elana and Mario are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. Everything is done with a smile. The rooms are clean, the food was tasty and location is perfect. The only negative would be that the pool is so deep with minimal shallow end so wouldn't be good for non swimmers or people who ate not comfortable in water. See you next year guys 😘😘

This place is awful it’s like a hostel not a hotel our rooms were gross mouldy walls and ceilings, stunk of damp , the beds were damp and the ceilings leak when it rains, very outdated , I don’t think the floors had been swept for weeks I had to ask the cleaner for a sweeping brush , the manager wasn’t very helpful he was to busy doing shots and perving around a group of young girls

Upon arrival at Galaxy we were pleasantly surprised by the exterior of the hotel and the lobby area. After getting downstairs with the suitcases we were greeted by Stellios who gave us our keys and showed us to our rooms and explained how the hot water works (you need to flip the switch for 10 - 20mins). We had read reviews about this and people saying it was dangerous, the water didn't get any hotter than what our hot water at home does and did not steam. We also arrived late so came to fully check in the next morning where we were greeted by Marios who was very pleasant and always happy and smiling, nothing was too much work for him (even when we set the fire alarm off in the apar**ent by accident). The rooms are quite dated and need a renovating in my opinion to bring them up to a 4* standard, currently I would say they're a 2* at best. The bathroom is very small and if not careful with the shower the water can end up everywhere. We also found that the floor was constantly dirty throughout the apar**ents that we had (04, 33, 34 and 40) even after cleaning, I assume this is due to the type of stone flooring used. Room 33 also had a damp/mouldy smell during the whole stay. The bath towels and hand towels are very good quality. The pool area is small but nice and we never had an issue getting sun loungers or beanbags by the pool for the whole week. The pool bar is reasonably priced for food and drink and personally I think the hotel is missing a trick with the meals they served. I think they should be advertising to outside passersby as the food is as good in quality and price as the tavernas in the village with good views from the pool area. The staff are all very friendly and pleasant. The location of the hotel is also excellent. We would come back if we got the holiday for the same price we paid this time.
