Tea Village, Munnar

It is a tremendous place to visit with family and friends, overall the place is outstanding and beautiful. It's the middle of the city. Easy access to all side seeing. The rooms were spacious and clean, with awesome hospitality. Staff are also very kind and available all the time. You get a wonderful view of the hills and mountains. Winter mornings made it a wonderful scenic destination. They also provide you with a candlelight dinner for couples. All the beverages and meals were so delicious and tasty.

I have booked this hotel through Make My Trip. Though I insisted on a good hotel, they suggested this one saying it's a good one. But this hotel was absolutely sub standard. Let me share my entire experience throughout my stay. My room was upgraded to a semi suite category from premium one. The room was Okay but the toilet was in very bad condition. I had to ask them again to clean it. Room service staff don't know anything. They don't have any knowledge on room service. You ask for something, they'll get you some other thing. Night dinner was also okay. *Now comes the actual part of my review. In the night it rained. The room in which I stayed had a roof leakage. Let me remind you that it was a semi suite. I had a sleepless night. In the morning when I got ready to make coffee, the electric kettle was not working. I had to wait for one hour for another one. When I went for breakfast, it was not at all worth it. The restaurant was so noisy and untidy. Restaurant staff are very rude and they don't have manners* Actually it's rated as **** hotel, but it's just a "Zero Star" hotel. I will never recommend this to anyone. Lord Guruvayurappa saved me, due to the last minute decision to visit Guruvayoor, I have reduced my stay for One day only.

This is an excellent place to stay if are looking for some quiet time. The view from the rooms are majestic. We were in a Semi Suite room, but the Rooms with Balcony are just as good. (Don't stay in a Standard Room.... it is a loss.) The staff is very friendly and helpful. They go out of there way to make you comfortable. The food is very good. Sometimes there is short supply of some items, but uf you are flexible, they'll make up for it by cooking off-menu items of your choice. This is 11 kms before Munnar. But just as beautiful. The forest area starts just below the balcony of our room, and we spent an entire evening watching dozens of species of birds. Highly recommend for people who want to spend a few peaceful days away from the hustle and bustle of our cities.

Its a very good resort with pleasant ambience and great balcony view right into the hills can feel the sun rise and the foggy weather !! Food is tasty! Over all hospitality is very good!! Highly recommended resort in munnar . Mainly that candle light dinner is the top one Staff is always available and friendly ! Abbas and Harish guided us well!! Had a great experience here .

The room was very bad it’s nothing like a 4 star hotel it can be well described as a 2 star. We found lizard in our hotel room. The food too was horrible and not well prepared and service was not good Would prefer people to look forward to other hotels which provide better service

Our stay at the Tea Village Munnar was absolutely amazing. The rooms are spacious, comfortable with one of the most mesmerizing views of the hills and sunrise. Thanks to Mr Abbas, the Manager who arranged for an authentic Kerala meal on request. Local style Kerala meal is a must and travellers should really request for this. Special thanks to Mr Harish from EGH for obliging to all our requests and helping us plan the entire trip and itinerary right from cab pickup and drop to and from the Railway station/Airport and sightseeing. He was so considerate and called us everyday during our stay to make sure we are comfortable. He made sure everything was taken care of. He also arranged for a beautiful Houseboat stay at Alleppey as EGH have their own houseboats. In total we had a great trip and experience and will remember the scenic beauty of Munnar for life.
