Забронировали этот отель в последний момент, так как нам нужно было остаться в городе на одну дополнительную ночь, и это было просто потрясающе! Я бы обязательно вернулась в этот отель! Женщина на стойке регистрации была невероятно милой и говорила по-португальски! Она была очень рада возможности поговорить с нами на португальском, и мы тоже были рады, что она говорит по-португальски! Расположение отеля отличное, в центре города, недалеко от парламента, а номер был просто замечательный! Очень большая и просторная студия с кухней и гостиной. Кровать была очень удобной, но диван-кровать не очень (как и во всех отелях). Туалет был большой и со всеми удобствами. Завтрак был хорошим: яйца, бекон, фрукты, хлопья, свежие вафли, пудинг с чиа, хлеб… У них есть частная парковка за дополнительную плату, но въезд очень узкий. Также есть уличная парковка за дополнительную плату.

Room cleanliness and air conditioning were good. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was simple but good in quality. However the breakfast queue was long and food replenishment was not done in pace with the flow, ended up in a long queue not moving as people stayed in the front of the queue stayed in the queue waiting for replenishment. The dinning space was insufficient that could not accommodate the big crowd. We ran into issue setting up the sofa bed. Calling the front desk asking for assistance we were stunned by a reply saying they would not send staff to help but urging us to try for another attempts and kept reassuring us the sofa bed operation was simple and easy. Finally we got that sorted out with help from other hotel customers.. A major disappointment that totally ruined my experience with the hotel was the way my enquiry was handled towards an unknown charge after I checked out. In the check out bill, it was just a charge billed to my credit card without indicating what service or item I was billed for. While my family did not order or buy anything at all from the hotel and we were in a rush, I did not check the bill upon check out until 5 days later I saw it in my credit card account. I sent an email to the hotel reservation (that was the only email channel I found from the hotel home page) to enquire about the charge and no reply was received ever towards my enquiry and that's what I was hit. Although the unknown charge was refunded after another week, I did not feel good with the way they work. I frankly accept mistakes made by the front desk or the account team for incorrect bill, but I do not accept ignorance and zero communication from the backend on my enquiry. This is something the hotel should improve.

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was great. The room was fairly quiet. The shower controls were modern. The only thing was no trash bags in the trash bins inside the room, and no bottled water included (had to bring my own). The garbage bags they provided after requesting them were too big lol. The cost was fairly expensive for just one night though manageable if splitting the cost with another guest.

For my first time staying overnight at Ottawa, I booked a hotel room for one night at Lord Elgin. Upon arriving early at the hotel, I was provided with a room before my check-in time - which was very appreciated. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly. However, little did we know, our room on the 7th floor was connected to another room with adjoining doors. We were unable to sleep through the night as the room had little to no sound isolation from the connecting room, in which a baby was crying all night. I am baffled as to how we were able to hear every single noise: coughing and sneezing from the parents in the other room, their toilet flushing and the baby crying throughout the entire night. We were unable to sleep comfortably and woke up with splitting headaches. I booked this hotel to be the closest possible to the Rideau Canal Skateway, but I will have to find another hotel the next time.

This hotel is very clean and the location is close to all the main attractions. The facilities is good, I was able to use their swimming pool and other entertainment facilities. I would staying in this hotel again next time in Ottawa.

По обе стороны кровати есть 2 розетки и 2 USB-A разъема. Персонал в целом дружелюбный. Минусы: немного далеко от туристических достопримечательностей в центре города (около 10 минут езды). Кофе из кофемашины в номере был так себе. Кондиционер довольно шумный. Телевизор в моем номере нельзя было выключить (он автоматически выключался после некоторого отсутствия сигнала). Были бумажные стаканчики для кофе, но во всем номере не было других стаканчиков/чашек, даже для чистки зубов, поэтому мне приходилось использовать бумажные стаканчики (можно ли это считать экологичным?).

Great place to stay nice & clean not far from downtown . Private parking and room for 3 people was big with a big kitchen. I definitely recommend . Price is also affordable.

Where to begin... first of all, when I made this booking, there was no mention whatsoever of HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION beginning every day at 7 a.m. Naturally upon checking in, I'm informed that there is intense construction happening right next door. And yes, it was brutal. I also SPECIFICALLY booked this hotel because there was an option to reserve now, pay at the hotel. Here are some direct quotes from my booking confirmation email: ”You'll need to pay upon check-in at Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” ”Your payment will be handled by Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” and ”Pay at Hotel.” Sure enough, I get there, and the money's already been taken out of my credit card and I owe nothing to the hotel upon check-in. (This matters for reimbursement purposes at the company I work for.) Lastly, I was told when I checked in that housekeeping would be visiting every third day -- that was fine by me. But the very first day, I come back to my room after a long day and someone's been there, replacing towels, removing the minimal garbage in there, etc., which I was not at all prepared for given that I was advised the opposite. It made me extremely uncomfortable because all of my personal effects were left throughout the room, not expecting housekeeping given that I was advised no housekeeping would be coming until the third day. I'll be honest, that creeped me out as someone travelling alone. The staff were apologetic but I didn't find their explanation at all sufficient. (The housekeeping manager and front desk attendant completely contradicted each other.) Overall, such a chaotic stay. Oh, and, the heat in my room didn't work. Had to request a space heater... I mean, c'mon.
