Villas Keh

Villa Keh is a great place to stay and Marianna is awesome to work with! We rented the whole complex. In the lower apartment was our friends ( a family of 5. -2 parents with 3 teenage sons) the upper apartment was our family (4 adults and 3 small children). We had plenty of space. Each apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The living room has a comfy futon that has a trundle bed under it (slept two teens or 3 children comfortably). There is also a kitchen with stove, refrigerator and microwave. Each apartment had a private outside space with a table chairs and clothes line. The pool area was a nice place to gather as a whole group. The dipping pool was big enough for several people to relax in or for kids to splash in. It was about 4 foot deep. The complex is 1/2 a block from Oscar’s - which had AMAZING food and drinks. It is also within walking distance to little stores for amnesties and local food stands. You live like a local in your own gated area. The lady across the street from the entrance to Villa Keh had baked goods for sale a couple nights while we were there . The cake was delicious! We felt safe, had everything we needed and had a blast away from the craziness of the busy areas. We did rent a golf cart to explore the island but you could easily cab to any destination for 150 pesos by walking down the hill to Oscar’s (2 buildings and across the street) Marianna was great to work with. She was very attentive to all of our questions and needs before and during our trip. She made us feel welcomed and wanted. She even advocated and supported us when our friends had an issue with a local golf cart company (DONT USE GOMAR GOLF CART RENTAL)

We absolutely loved our stay at Villas Keh!!! Mariana was so attentive and very helpful with any questions we had. Would highly recommend and definitely would stay here again on future trips to Isla!!!

I stayed here with 2 friends in early February, and it was wonderful! The apartment was so clean and spacious, and the plunge pool and patio was a wonderful place to relax in the morning with a cup of coffee and in the afternoon with a cocktail. Our host Silvia was always available any time we had a question and had great suggestions for places to go or restaurants. We loved it so much we are coming back next year!

Liked the mid island location and easy access to all areas

I travelled with my 8-yr-old son and elderly mother the end of Feb / beginning of March. From the very beginning of the booking process until we had to say goodbye, everything was wonderful. Mariana was very easy to communicate with and always responded quickly. I felt confident and comfortable knowing we had nothing to worry about when we landed on Isla Mujeres. When we arrived, we were so incredibly pleased by the apartment. It was completely spotless and so beautiful! Mariana has a great connection for a golf cart, which was waiting for us when we got there, and the plunge pool was PERFECT! She also has an ideal taxi connection. I can't stress enough how CLEAN the apartment was and how well cared for every piece of the property was - absolutely immaculate! I loved that we were in more of a neighbourhood instead of the touristy parts of the island. It was a bit too far to walk into the main part of town for my kiddo but cheap taxis or a golf cart rental took care of that easily. It's located on a main street mid-island so you can head North or South as there's so much to see in either direction. The big Western-style grocery store is only one km from the apartment, which was perfect when we needed to stock up on things or wanted a little treat. Oscars is a few steps away and it's a short walk to Mango Cafe, both are highly recommended! A brand new restaurant just opened next door to the apartment when we were there but we didn't have time to give it a try. It looked really good though! You can also walk to the sports field, we got to watch some baseball and soccer going on. To highlight the unmatched care and attention from Mariana and her staff, I have to share how they went above and beyond all possible expectations when there was a water cut to the entire island. Mariana and her staff IMMEDIATELY came to check on the apartment and explain the situation to us. They made sure we were fully stocked on drinking water then filled a bunch of 10 gallon buckets for us to keep in the bathrooms in case we needed to use the toilet or wanted to clean up. We didn't have to worry about anything at all and they continuously checked to make sure we still had water or whatever we needed. Their genuine concern and immediate action was truly unbelievable. Mariana and her team are beautiful, lovely people who treat you like family; it was hard for us to leave. 10/10 for Villa Keh I and if we find our way to Isla Mujeres, we will stay there again, for sure! This was a great private little house. This being our first time in Mexico, we weren’t too sure at first about the location. The area seemed a bit rundown. After we had a chance to explore the island, we realized that other than the resort areas, this is the island’s way. The location is central to the island so it was easy to get to either end of the island by golf cart. I had read a review that the owner had set up a taxi to pickup from the ferry so I asked her to do that for us too. She also provided a golf cart for an extra fee. I did not know ahead of time that the golf cart would be required to be paid in cash- that would have been helpful to know upfront. She was very responsive to messages. The water cooler ran out of water and she had some brought over in just over an hour. It is also near the local grocery store. She arranged a taxi to return to the ferry on our last day as well. Having two bedrooms each with their own bathrooms was nice too.

The property was super clean, very new, and beautifully decorated. There were 3 tvs, and 3 ACs. The kitchen was fully equipped. The beds were super comfortable. Mariana, the manager, answered all emails fast, and was very nice. We enjoyed this villa a lot!

This was our fourth visit to the island and our first time staying at Villas Keh. We were very impressed. The location is perfect for us, mid island, away from the craziness of Playa Norte but still close to everything via golf cart or short taxi ride. This property in particular is walking distance to a few favorites: Oscar’s Grill, La Hach, and Cochinita Pios. The unit was immaculately clean when we arrived and re-cleaned (and stocked) every other day. That was a huge perk for us as we usually rent houses rather than "hotels". Fresh water was provided in a water cooler that also had a hot water dispenser. Another huge perk! The showers are large with consistently hot water, the beds are big and comfortable, and there are plugs and mirrors everywhere which makes the unit very user friendly. The AC is exceptionally cold and we had to set it pretty high if we used it at all. It was nice having AC in the living area as well as many properties on the island don’t. We didn’t use the patio much, but I would have liked to have taken advantage of the provided grill—just didn’t have the time. I also regret not taking advantage of the pool which was also immaculate and vacant during our stay. All in all, a great mid-island option that’s clean, comfortable, easy, and really pays attention to detail. We definitely recommend!
