Maple Bank Country Guest House

Just had a wonderful three night stay at Maple Leaf. Can’t recommend highly enough, from the warm welcome and comfy homely room with lovely finishing touches to the gorgeous home cooked breakfast and lovely cakes each day. Nothing was too much trouble and will definitely be returning!

Just back from a fabulous weekend stay at Maple Bank Guest House. What a truly special place. Kate and team are so welcoming, providing everything and so much more besides to make your stay perfect! Beautiful clean rooms, welcome treats for humans and four legged friends, delicious afternoon cakes and amazing breakfasts. Kate's local knowledge is so helpful, especially the information on local walks and local eateries. Thanks to Kate and team, we can't wait to come back!

Such a delightful stay at Maplebank and wonderful to return - We won’t leave five years next time! So many thoughtful touches and a wonderful welcome from Kate and her team. Very comfortable room, wonderful views, lovely hospitality tray, Home-made cakes to welcome us back each afternoon, and bedroom and bathroom absolutely spotless. Probably the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed in and that includes many hotels. . Beautiful with plenty of parking, just a few minutes drive from Keswick and so many things to do in the Lakes. We loved Beatrix potters’s house at Hill Top and visiting the pencil museum in Keswick. Highly recommend this for a place to get away from it all

Lovely place, spotlessly clean, amazing breakfast and cakes every day. Dogs loved it too and were made as welcome as we were. Absolutely worth a visit and definite 5 stars from us 🤩🤩 (pity they can’t dictate the weather, but it wouldn’t be the Lake District otherwise)

Super accommodation with views toward Skiddaw and ideally situated for visiting all parts of the Lake District. Lovely breakfasts served by friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking spaces. My wife and I have visited this guest house about eight times. 10 out of 10.

Just amazing , probably the best we have been to in the UK , beautiful house and people . Every detail thought about and we wanted for nothing . Extremely relaxed and amazing local knowledge . Breakfast incredible . Thank you so much to Kate and her team , we will be back .

I really dont know where to start on how absolutely amazing this place is.... Stayed in room 5 top floor, room was incredibly well equipment to give us a fantastic, comfortable and relaxed stay. The room and the house have sooooo many extras - just a few - a wide selection of tea and coffee, toiletries, fluffy towels, ear buds, cotton wool, scented toilet rolls, wifi booster for netflix.....the list is endless. Our Boxer was pampered with clean towels to dry off after a day running in the rain, a dressing gown for her and pad cream. Breakfast was sooooo good, loads of selection...poached egg and avocado amazing! Thankyou so much for your friendly, relaxed welcome...you are all so lovely x

Really can’t fault it in any way. From the minute we arrived to the time we left. They can’t do enough for you to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. They certainly achieved this, the staff friendly and informative, the breakfast 10/10, along with the daily home baked cakes truly scrumptious, much needed after a long walk. Our room was beautiful with an added bonus of luxury toiletries made it more special, lovely comfy beds. Thank you to Kate and her amazing team, we’ll be back along with friends and family after seeing all my pictures from here. Loved it

Beautiful B&B. Kate was warm and very welcoming to us and our dogs. Room was very clean, bathroom was spotless with lovely natural skincare products from Pure Lakes. Breakfast was delicious. Alot of variety from fresh cooked full English breakfast to tasty porridge. There was fresh juice available and a variety of cereals. There were sausages at breakfast too for the dogs 🐕 Freshly baked cakes were a much welcome treat after a day exploring the lakes, flapjacks, fruit cake and coffee cake all equally delicious.
