For us, this was a magical paradise. The food, the rooms, the staff, the pool and the absolutely wonderful sunset. We highly recommend this hotel to all couples who come to Zanzibar for a few days and to take care of each other. Many thanks to everyone at Kizikula who contributed to our fantastic stay.

This amazing little hitten gem of a hotel was one of the absolute highlights of our Zanzibar trip, and an absolute must-visit for couples. The a**osphere was unique, and with just 9 rooms, it feels like we had the beautiful pool area, the amazing sundeck, the cozy swahili-style lounge, and the 180° view of the Indian Ocean all to ourselves. It is definately targeted towards couples, and makes a perfect destination for the ultimate romantic getaway. The restaurant served some of the best food we had on our trip around the island, and the quality and huge portions made up for the quite limited selection of dishes. The staff is incredibly friendly and very attentive, and they seem to enjoy working there (unlike some other places we've visited), which really rubs off on the entire a**osphere. The room was utterly beautiful, even though we didn't spend much time there. They offer a wide range of excursions and activities, complimentary yoga, paddle boards, and there's a pretty well equipped workout station with a great viewof the ocean as well. All in all, this place is definately worth the money, and might be the reason that we'll eventually return to Zanzibar.

Friends recommended the place. We booked without any desktop research. We trusted them. We didn’t know what to expect. And as soon as we arrived, we looked at each other and said: wow! We rarely get surprised when we travel. We’ve been to so many resorts. But here, it was very different. An alternative eco-retreat where you are welcomed not as a guest, but as a member of the small family. Only 9 rooms, all designed differently. A great pool and sunset setting. Very tasty cuisine. Sustainable ingredients. Nice drinks. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Plenty of places for yoga, meditation and relaxation. Come with an open mind. Forget about the traditional definition of luxury. This is the new luxury. A barefoot one. A simple one. A meaningful one.

We spend our first days on our honeymoon at this amazing place! We enjoyed every second with the beutiful staff, view, pool area, food and the lovely rooms. Speciall thanks to our friend Enok, for trying to teach us about Zanzibar and frases is swahilli :) also served us for a speciall arranged dinner evening to surprice my husband on the "private" deck. Visited Kizikula twice and had the most amazing experiences both times. There's something undescribable serene about the place. Eyes resting when meeting the esthetic rooms and spaces in harmony with surrounding nature; food is divine, and if feels like visiting family friends rather than staying at a hotel. Enjoyed the best pool on the island; children went exploring in the gardens, we SUPed at sunset and went hiking in the early mornings. We found everyone so gentle and helpful and had an absolutely amazing time there. Can't wait to come back again - I know that it will be even better than first two visits because it's a place that keeps improving and surprising in the best possible sense.

It was really a wonderful experience. It is a beautiful place with care for little details. For instance the yoga classes and also a yogamat and paddle board you can use anytime. The food was delicious and I had the most amazing massage. The best thing about it is that there is an exclusivity to it, only 9 rooms available which results in a very calm and quiet a**osphere.

100 % recommendation. There’s so much love in the detail, which we very much appreciated. We loved everything about this hotel… the design, those cozy private areas and platforms above the ocean, the chilled out vibe, delicious food, very attentive, friendly and helpful staff. Just 9 rooms which makes everything very private. Stayed for 4 nights and were sad to leave.
