Repairs were underway. Plastic from the ceilings to floor in lobby. Staff was rude when I asked about it. Explanation was never offered. No cafe services were available, but again, I had to ask and got a distant nebulous comment. The answer seemed quite passive aggressive.
My room smelled of stale beer. Bathroom floor sticky.
I had two rooms(one for family). We checked in late in the evening or we would have simply left and forfeited the money.
The next morning, as we were leaving, I encountered another high level staff member. Our eyes met so I said “good morning” in an affable tone. She stared at me and made no reply.
There is a major business culture issue in this hotel. They seemed totally unfocused on hospitality.
I stay in hotels about 60 days a year as I visit family. This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had with respect to staff rudeness.
And by the way, I’ve never given a bad review before today.
