London Olympus Hotel Nirvana

Honestly, it just wasn't pleasant. First of all, it says check in is at 2pm. I arrived about 2.30pm and had to wait for 15 minutes while the room was being cleaned. It's fine, it happens, although it was frustrating as I had just walked an hour and a half. I came right in to shower, and the knobs fell off when you turned it on. (Also unrelated, I had to open the drawers on the dresser and I couldn't get them closed because that also seems to be falling apart) They didn't provide shampoo and conditioner, I know a lot of hotels don't, but for the price of 180 something, it would have been nice. I had bought razors to shave my legs, it came with 2 razor heads, and when I came back from my concert, the room had been cleaned and clearly they were also binned. For it only being a 2 night stay, I didn't really see the need for everything being cleaned, and as somebody that used to clean in hotels, we cleaned the best we could and left things in their place as most people don't enjoy having people snoop through their things. The bed wasn't the most comfortable either, this has to be the only hotel I've ever stayed in that has a spring mattress. Everyone has different taste, I didn't enjoy that and I didn't have a single good night's rest. The walls are also paper thin, I had two loud boy neighbours that stayed up talking and laughing all night, and you could hear even little thing they did, even just walking about their room with the creaky floors. I was staying in room 12 I believe, number 47 house. I thought this was maybe just London quality as it was cheap in comparison to other places, but my flight was cancelled and I've checked into another hotel for 88 quid, and it's miles better. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Perfectly fine hotel for a cheap overnight stay, staff were friendly and gave us bottle of water, the room was clean with a perfectly fine shower and also a fan and kettle with bits. Location is spot on, a 5 minite walk to stratford train station and for the price you can complain

Booked this a while ago , was delayed arriving so emailed , no one bothered to reply , this hotel is in two parts one a few hundred metres from the other, man on checking in was polite (Adam I believe) took us to our room , explained where things were, told us the Internet pass code in behind the door but it wasn't,water was a trickle from the tap, no hairdryer but site says there is , made a trip back outside and to reception to say no hairdryer and no WiFi password and the extractor in the bathroom didn't work , the hairdryer was supplied immediately and the extractor was replaced during our stay , the WiFi took four visits before it was fixed , room was poorly decorated with some mould in places but usable , on our 3rd day we had no water , went to reception and waited behind a man for approximately 10 minutes before someone returned , turned out the man waiting at the reception counter works there yet never acknowledged me , very poor service . Personally I would spend more and avoid this place , the website doesn't show the hotel how it really is.....
