Hotel des Thermes et du Casino

We booked into this hotel because it is 20 minutes drive from the Caen ferry terminal and is dog friendly. We arrived late in the evening after a 5 hour crossing from Portsmouth spending a night there before driving on to Cancale, and then spent a second night on our return 5 days later before checking into the ferry at 7:30 am. They could not have been friendlier or more welcoming of us and our 3 year old black Labrador, the owner taking a selfie with our dog when we checked in and another photo with his young daughter on our return. We had a large comfortable room on the fourth floor with a balcony facing the sea and the dog was very happy sharing the room with us. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable and large. The hotel is quite dated but has been well maintained. We were even able to swim in the pool in the back garden ( which was covered in October). The breakfast was good with a large choice and dogs are welcome in the breakfast room. There is free public parking opposite and the beach is just across the road and very handy for dog walks. On the way back we had an excellent dinner at a restaurant opposite (also dog friendly). For those interested in military history the beach was very close to Sword beach in the D Day landings and there is a memorial just along from the hotel with interesting information about the role of the British Royal Marines who landed there in June 1944 as well as Royal Marine commandos who carried out a reconnaissance operation there in 1941. The hotel is only 20 minutes drive from the ferry terminal at Ouistreham and we would certainly go there again if we have another early check in or late arrival.

The shower wasn't working properly (it sprayed everywhere), the safe didn't work, nor was it secured to the cabinet, the breakfast was the worst we have ever had. So much of this hotel is needing refurbishing.

The hotel was excellent value for money and situated in the perfect place. The view of the sea from our rooms was stunning and the breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The room was large and the Bed was very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were great. Everything you could need was provided.

Très bon accueil, super petit déjeuner. Une piscine très agréable et aussi cet hôtel est très bien placé car une fois garé à côté tout est à proximité. La chambre vue sur mer est au calme et au matin, quel moment agréable et reposant de regarder cette vue.

Nous avions une box , à notre arrivée nous avons eu le droit à une chambre vue sur mer à la place de la vue jardin. Nous étions conquis. La literie est bonne Nous avons bien dormi. Un bel accueil et un super petit déjeuner avec du choix salé ou sucré. Nous avions accès au jacuzzi et au sauna dommage que le jacuzzi ne fonctionnait pas.

Excellent emplacement face a la mer, jolie chambre et bonne literie, avec salle de bain privée, propre, petit déjeuner copieux et personnel agréable. Choix pour le parking hôtel ou en face ( gratuit) Je recommande cet hôtel et si nous sommes dans la région nous retenons cette adresse

Très satisfaite de l’hôtel l’emplacement de celui ci est parfait J’ai réservé cet endroit dans le cadre d’une wonderbox nous avons voulu rajouter 40€ pour avoir une vue sur mer avec balcon c’était comment dire ? Exceptionnel ! Chambre bien insonorisée grande literie parfaite menage nikel petit déjeuner tres bon avec du choix ( salé ou sucré ) le réceptionniste était sympathique et très accueillant Nous avons profité de la piscine qui est couverte et chauffée Je recommande 100 fois cet hôtel et particulièrement cette chambre 408

Bon hôtel, bien situé. Bonne literie et lit king size. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. Le personnel agréable et les chiens sont admis (supplément de 10 €). Tout est propre. La chambre est grande, la salle de bains un peu moins. Dommage mais l'essentiel, c'est la literie.

Hôtel pas très propre pour le prix de 165€ la nuit, chambres faite tout les 2 jours, terrasse très sale avec des déjections d'oiseaux, toiles d'araignées et j'en passe. Petit déjeuner minimum pas beaucoup de choix jus d’orange en poudre, très peu de choix de charcuterie ( 12€). Ascenseur poussif et vieillot. Le seul point positif est la vue sur la mer. Bref je n(y reviendrai plus.
